They have been working their ass off everyday to make their manga a success and now they have reached heights most only dream of so they can take a well deserved break before getting back into it. Executives can push them around when they are getting off the ground or have a manga in the middle of the pack but they don't have much power at this level. What are they going to do, get rid of one of their most popular manga and anime if the author wants to take a vacation? Another company would snatch the author/manga/anime up in a heartbeat.
