Everyone has been saying for the past couple years that the hype in this arc has just died a slow and agonizing death. I think it was around the fight against Phoenix-man that people started noticing the pacing being at a snail's pace, along with the inconsistent release of chapters. Everyone has just moved on while the iron cooled to room temperature.

I kinda liked the chapter so i am not 100% disappointed but i think all the thing they did about "oh look! You are saving people" would have been much better if Garou had remained the same as in "muh weabcomic" for the simple reason that it would have made him go nuts instead of blushing like a teenager.
Said so, I've waited too much to truly appreciate the chapter as I thought I would and desu the 3rd monster Garou is not to my liking, the face sucks.

The "best" thing any truly awful story can do -Sherlock, Homestuck and RWBY are good examples- is make the viewer think it'll get better, that all this boring shit/utter garbage you've watched is just intentionally misleading buildup to a truly awesome occurrence. What you're reading or watching isn't just bad, because that's not fun to think about; it's actually just in service to a brilliant shake-up of the status quo, or interesting new plot point.
The new arc of OPM has done a very good job at this. Garou has become a complete joke by this point, devoid of any sort of threat or risk of harming even the fodder S-Class heroes; his arc has been so sloppily handled, so infantile and obvious in its presentation, that it would genuinely be a lot more fun and interesting for him to become a monster and for these endless scenes of him Actually Being A Good Guy to be in vain, because that's what a good (or, at least, better) writer would do.
Of course, Murata is not a good writer, so this isn't gonna happen.

One of the things I liked about the Garou fight in the webcomic is you could feel how frustrated Garou was in his Saitama fight. He was so seething mad he couldn't even give Saitama proper answers in his monster form and him him losing was him hitting the bottom of the barrel. It was just him, Saitama, and the cold hard truth. I get none of that feeling from the Murata version.
