You need 220 IQ to understand muh power levels

You've made this thread like 30 times now

He literally says his powers only work when fighting the spiders, if he tries them on anyone else he dies instantly.

>How did he defeat one of the strongest members in 6 months training?
that realization is honestly the saddest part.

Yes Togashi:
>didnt understand emperor time(it just gives efficiency not power)
>just threw the Nen concept away when inventing specialist
>spit on the remnants of worlbuidling by inventing stands
>burnt the remnants by writing in Alluka

but he´s still the best.
No one will ever come close.
Every one else is an artist first and a writer second.

>oh no my powers only work on some of the strongest people in the world

>>didnt understand emperor time(it just gives efficiency not power)
To this day I still don't understand what that actually means.

Because Togashi anus said so, basically this entire series depends on whatever comes out from Togashi anus on the day.

This is my main issue with HxH, many of the "restrictions" are not equivalent in the slightest to the power-up they give. It's one of the reasons I'll never buy the "nen is the best power system" shit that people spout.

>He literally says his powers only work when fighting the spiders
This is a fucking lie fucking faggot retarded piece of shit kill yourself I'm tired of this crap. Kurapika powers work for everyone WITH THE EXCEPTION of a 1 hit attack that ONLY WORKS ON THE SPIDER, what a bummer right? You are basically god tier with a few months of training plus have 1 skill that can 1 hit the strongest people in the world, OH WHAT A POOR THING.

but user, it has the
>your lifespan will be drained
""""""drawback""""""" that never ever has any consequence

>>didnt understand emperor time(it just gives efficiency not power)
What does this mean?
>>just threw the Nen concept away when inventing specialist
Specialists were introduced with nen and Yorkshin has 4 specialists in it as well. Being the 2nd major arc with nen in it.
>>spit on the remnants of worlbuidling by inventing stands
Nen beasts also existed in York Shin.
>>burnt the remnants by writing in Alluka
Doesn't use nen by all appearances and demonstrates a really dangerous power from the Dark Continent immediately after the very killable Chimera Ants were dealt with.

>Kurapika
My chains will be stronger against the spiders but I will die if I use them on someone else
>Gon
I will now reach a form that's not even my future self, just a potential form of mine if I trained every single day for years aka the strongest theoretically possible version of me, in exchange for my... nen.

Brilliant writing.

It's not too complicated retard, pika has decent hatsu capacity and ended up with 5(6-7) powers. He then burned one of his limited op chain powers to merc like 12 people. It pretty stupid if you didn't have a murder boner for the people that killed your clan

based troll spamming at just the right frequency to be noticed but not too much to get banned

>I will now reach a form that's not even my future self, just a potential form of mine if I trained every single day for years aka the strongest theoretically possible version of me, in exchange for my... nen.

It wasn't just that wasn't it? I thought it was something a long the lines of

>I will tolerate living in a state of pain that makes me want to kill myself every second of every day for the rest of my life if I get this power.

The nen shit was the trade of for recovering him

>Gon loses nen forever
>stakes with consequences that lasted until the end of the manga.
What's the problem?

>Asspull power up to defeat an opponent he had absolutely no chance of defeating
>Magical wish to restore him
And don't be sure about the nen part yet. The manga isn't over, I'm pretty sure they will asspull his nen back once he's about to become plot relevant again.

>Gon loses nen forever
DO NIGGER NOT FUCKING READ HOLY SHIT FUCKING CRAP GON NEVER LOSES HIS NEN THIS IS STATED PRETTY CLEARLY GON JUST GOES BACK TO NORMAL AND LOSES A COUPLE OF MONTHS OF TRAINING AT MOST HE COULD GO BACK EVEN STRONGER NOW AAAAAHHHHHHHH

What's the point, though. The potential of encountering the one new, zealous HxH fan who visits this board and make them angry? Schizo stuff

I love Killua so much it's unreal

Thing is, Togashi himself realized this is very convenient, as a matter of fact Izunavi says that that's a weak condition that doesn't give you much power. He gets a huge boost only after adding the fact that he'd die if he used it on others. But I still think it's pretty weak since obviously he would never do so, and even if he was tricked into it, that's a very peculiar and rare situation that would require a very unlikely chain of events to happen.

Funny thing about that is that everyone assumes the condition was always there from the beginning and not a late addition, despite the fact that we have no reason to believe so, not only that, we know it's not the case from Kurapika's own dialogue when he thinks of it in terms of something recent he's experienced the side effects of for the first time. And that's 2 years after Yorkshin. But everyone immediately decided the condition was always there and is just being revealed now cause they want to feel better about it and justify Emperor Time in Yorkshin ex post. The funny thing is that before the reveal, the same people would defend ET and tell you it was perfectly fine that way and not an asspull. But now that the condition was added, they say it's perfect this way and was always the case, meaning they are admitting that ET always needed such a condition and that it was not ok without it. Every fan base is cancer and has no intellectual honesty

>Funny thing about that is that everyone assumes the condition was always there from the beginning and not a late addition
Doubly weird when Chrollo talks about how he had to add conditions to make the bookmark, so Kurapika filling in his last slot with an ability theft power that's actually pretty loose in requirements but great in function (can force Zetsu on it's own) forcing him to add a new blanket condition for emperor time makes sense.

>the same people would defend ET and tell you it was perfectly fine that way and not an asspull
I think the reasons are different though. Emperor time in Yorkshin is a good ability but people think it is what makes Kurapika broken. The reality is it's necessary for him to even be able to use Judgement chain since without the affinity boost he can't even use emissions well enough to put residual aura into his chains for their durability to last once detached. The other benefit is letting him do better vs Enhancer matchups since he can output more aura, but people forget that he only ever really fought the phantom troupe that arc so his hatred towards them would also serve as a boost. Outside that he had to play smart since getting tagged by someone like Uvo once could mean instant death.

I don't agree with the people that say that the lifedrain condition was always there. But it's also still a fact that maintaining his crimson eyed state has always depleted his stamina since just like during the Succession War, Kurapika passes out after extended use of it. So I get why some were quick to claim the condition wasn't new.

>dude depends on physical strength and aura.
>kurapica makes strong chains that also drains aura.
gee dunno.

this was the only good fight in all of hxh

why would you have a serious debate with a hxhtard?

they are all midwits

Hisoka vs Chrollo was better.

only if you're retarded

desuarchive.org/a/search/image/rrzW1S45movELAW4HwR0XA/

It's low IQ garbage writing.

I mean it makes sense since only being able to use it on the 0.000000000001% of the world population is a notable disadvantage, but it's not good from a storytelling viewpoint

>unlikely chain of events

Attached: silvasdad.jpg (225x350, 28.96K)

???
Why would he ever use it on Zeno?

>stakes with consequences
Gon only cared about having nen and being a hunter as a means to an end, that end being meeting his father. He got everything he wanted

joke kurapika chains

Not if that 0.000000000001% is all you care about in the first place. It's even possible you wouldn't need to use nen against anyone ever if not against them. Nen users compared to the whole world population are a tiny infinitesimal fraction as well, so what, you're telling me that by restricting your ability only to use on nen users should give you a huge boost? They're still a 0.000000000001% percentage AND the only ones you'd want to use it against to begin with, in most cases.

But it doesn't matter since Togashi himself admitted that the Troupe restriction alone is not what gives him considerable power

Fug

mary sue

Creating an ability perfectly suited to that task to the point he can't use it on anybody besides the spiders and bluffing about his Nen category to catch an already cocky opponent further off-guard.
Emperor Time helps, since it let Kurapika take less damage from Uvo's punches (he'd probably be missing his left arm without the ability to increase control over other categories), but Chain Jail alone would've granted a win.
Really, it'd be stranger if Kurapika didn't win, and the fact that it takes until Uvo is restrained and the is basically over for the reader to learn not only how fucked the man is, but the specifics as to why, is part of why the fight is so good.

Soon canon

Attached: HH KS.jpg (550x733, 102.2K)

By literally being one of the most innately talented characters in the series, a very solid basis in non-nen combat and a respectable basic in nen, and by having a will to win by any means necessary that FAR exceeded Uvo's. And the series is quite explicit about nen being a manifestation of one's will/emotions/spirit.

>criminal gang killed an entire village of innocent people down to the last child for the financial gains of organ harvesting
>author keeps trying to make the reader like them instead of offing all of them like the degenerate fucks they are
no you piece of shit

>one of the strongest members
The phantom troupe are a bunch of jobbers, except for Chrollo. A 1* hunter would confortably deal with them. The real question is why didn't the mafia or the leader of any country hire powerful nen users to deal with them, since they struggled with some low tier ants,

What compels a person to behave this way?

>user doesn't have the emotional intelligence to be entertained by a fictional villains while also condemning their actions and wanting to see them suffer the consequences

They're probably more interesting people than all the innocents they've massacred. Sucks they do what they do, but at least they're cool dudes.

>jobbers
>oh my rubber nen
