This is the only Negima character reintroduction in Holder that actually works. I have no complains with this version of Chamo.
He has a good redesign, the character still feels reasonably changed by years but is still plenty recognizable, he doesn't overstay his welcome, he keeps good spirits admirably despite losing so many close friends but it's still clear that he truly cared about them, and he actually serves a purpose (that said purpose is later wasted by the plot is not Chamo's fault).
Odd how the designated laughingstock of the prior series is treated with more respect than any other returning character, but good for Chamo.
