That's entirely backwards, you mean human heroes having elfen blood in them, as that strengthens and enobles them. It's not even true that there were only male human and female elf couples in his works, but they were the majority as it's a common theme in his works that a male of a lesser race but of great importance marries a female of a higher race. Which is why only elf males married maiar females, and no maiar male married a female elf (they didn't even think about touching a human female).

Anything afterwards is completely missing this particular context. However, myth as well as later fictional settings have plenty of male elf x human female, you just don't see it as often.
He isn't the only one, but they are extremely few. You can count the numbers of half-elves in one hand, making any shitpost about "muh human dick" ridiculous. Especially since most of the males that got themselves an elfen wife were pretty elfish dudes themselves, with elfish education, and sometimes already having elfen blood in them.
