I mean, as fucked up as it is, the situation hasn't really changed from Kawaki's perspective. Boruto wasn't in as much danger from being overwritten by Momoshiki thanks to Amado's meds. It's the possession that almost got Naruto killed. That's still a threat. So from Kawaki's point of view, Boruto might still have to die to protect Naruto.

Borushiki could dodge them so that's a given. And Mitsuki is already one of the fastest characters in the franchise in short bursts. His biggest problem will likely be his endurance and actually hitting Kawaki. Sukunahikona and Daikokuten are amazing for defense and keeping pressure on opponents from a safe distance. Mitsuki will have to look out for random bullshit spawning from literally anywhere.
