lowkey a hidden gem
wonderful world building, a memorable core cast, insane twists, beautiful visuals
if you haven't watched this yet then clear up some space in your anime schedule and binge it, trust me it's gonna blow your mind no lie
Lowkey a hidden gem
Season 2 when?
boretsu pirates was a joke
>Harlock but with moeshit
It was a bit shit m8
I only liked the OP honestly.
Yes it's great
>glowies in a maid cafe
>girl in miko outfit takes out revolutionary cabal
I do think the writing falls off for the last two anime-original arcs, but it stays fun
Fuck, I'd settle for LN translations past volume 3 at this point.
>lowkey
Stop this. If you like something, just say you like it, god damn it.
I think I'd rather keep my hidden gems to myself because I don't want undesirables talking about them.
This.
I can respect that, but even shitposty arguments beat nothing
I'm about halfway through my 10 year anniversary rewatch. Still one of my all-time favorites.
I really do miss it. On the cover it seems like cute girls and the like but when you actually get in it's actual proper sci fi world building that takes it's genre serious and respect. A massive glowing space colony though lost to history falling out of warp is treated as a thing of awe and majesty. Ships battle via electric warfare and radar with actual thought put in to the range and pings. Ships are old school utilitarian. It was just nice.
The Yea Forums of today will dismiss this as trannyshit because there's yuri in it.
Nah. There is no worse fate than retards and imbeciles appropriating a show you love.
I'll rather have nothing.
Fun Fact: The cool guitar riff in the intro? That's Marty Friedman of megadeath fame.
And /u/-fags would dismiss it as "dykeshit" because it has an unambiguous no bullshit and no subtext lesbian couple.
this was the biggest anime the season it came out
>Fuck, I'd settle for LN translations past volume 3 at this point.
It really depresses me that we've entered an era were we're flooded with trash LNs and every garbage manga imaginable gets brought over but this one just missed the cut off so is basically forgotten while we drown in TRAPPED IN ANOTHER BLANK WITH MY BLANK AS A BLANK!
Aquarion EVOL and Ano Natsu de Matteru were bigger. Rinne no Lagrange was too. That was a good season.
>I love girls on girls action
>yikes, lesbians? no thanks!
I don't understand
This.
I strongly disagree. Yea Forums can barely hold actual discussions anymore. You're not telling friends, you're basically telling enemies.
Pretty sure it flopped
That user is talking bullshit.
all of those are shit tho
It's one of my favorite anime of all time OP.
Yurifags are just "women don't count" waifufags and purityfags. When the girls are unironically lesbians they lose their shit
At this point Yea Forums is not terribly different from Yea Forums when it comes to discuss the hobby: nothing but shitposting, tribalism and politics.
Maybe, but they were very popular. Most people on this board were filtered by Mouretsu Pirates so it had a smaller but very dedicated following
Odette 2 mind
Haremfags, not waifufags, but yes. Also I notice that shippers tend to care less about canon ships for some reason.
>Yea Forums
Luckily I never bothered going there. But man, have I seen Yea Forums degenerate.
>filtered
Are you really bringing cancerous Dark Souls lingo here?
SRW when? Seriously it would make way more sense than Bebop did.
If you use dubs you didn't watch the anime
You guys are talking to a literal anti yuri "yurifags don't like yuri" schizo oldfags
>Black Holy intensifies
In my experience, "nothing" is preferable to having to read horrible takes on a beloved hidden gem, or having to see people say awful things about your waifu from one of those hidden gems, or receiving unwarranted hate because your hidden gem has a pleb filter that triggers the fuck out of people. I'm tired of Yea Forums and the internet.
How much mental gymnastics do you need to reach that much schizo level? Especially in this days and age of explicit series like Asumi and many many others
It's impossible to keep tabs on who every user is at this point. Not helped by the fact that some people like to falseflag to stir the pot even more.
Remember when Jojo's Bizarre Adventure was not exactly obscure but only niche anime and manga communities knew and care about it? Before the anime brought a flood of embarrassing obnoxious retards that made future discussion of the series impossible?
Good good times.
Literally only one panty shot in the whole show and it's a blink and miss it
Who is your waifu, if you don't mind me asking?
I just miss when science fiction was more common. Astra was decent and recently we had Orbital Children which was alright but you don't get many big space ship shows anymore.
>Honest and genuine awe and wonder as you navigate by the stars.
You were alright turkey hat.
Space Ninja Pirate man
Fun series. Maybe revival of space exploration will give us more like it. There are already space isekai series.
>isekai
I mean that's hardly new either but can Japan just NOT with the self insert teenage faggotry?
Apparently not. People love isekai shit it's not just Japan.
Do they actually love it or is do they just buy it because that's all the suits want to sell though?
user even Harry Potter is an isekai type of story.
>manga scans never
I love Chiaki and how deeply in the closet she is about everything
she loved them parfaits
It's scheduled one year after season two of Nadesico.
I remember how hype everyone was for this show then how letdown everyone was after the 2nd ep.
I wasn't let down at all. I came for animu star trek with lesbians, and I got animu star trek with lesbians.
I did not start being let down until episode 22 or so
I thought it only got better as it went
That was all anime original content that went off the books from what I gather. So that could be reason why. I didn't think it was too bad. TV needed a big finale and it was one.
