What do you think of it? How good is it compared to battle shonen like FT, BC, MHA, etc?
Honestly, I like the setting and the characters, but the powersystem and the battles feels underwhelming

I only watched it for Mellie
dont care about the gay battles
Read the manga
I like the art
An actually good French product unlike Arcane
It's more fantasy than battle shounen.
I just hope the author doesn't get burnt out by doing this his entire life.
It also has the best war arc I've ever read.
Good art, cool character designs all around, serviceable plot. Main character is kina meh but the side characters and villains make up for it
its not even standard shounen, even lower tier
>It's more fantasy than battle shounen
It fits in the description of battle shonen
>I just hope the author doesn't get burnt out by doing this his entire life.
Doubt it could happen. It's not like the japanese environment
>It also has the best war arc I've ever read
True
>Main character is kina meh
At first yeah, but gets better.
>What do you think of it?
It's good, I keep an eye out for new volumes
>How good is it compared to battle shonen like FT, BC, MHA, etc?
For a frenchman I think he handles the stereotypical shonen protag great. Seth starts off a bit bland but the rumbletown arc gives him a much needed umph and intrigue with his brother Poidon that helps him grow into something more interesting. The Cyrandil arc solidifies the story as absolutely worth your time and I've dropped FT, BC, and especially MHA because they all squander their premises.
Yeah, rumble town completely changes Seth form a bit annoying and stupid to a really interesting character, and it feels completely natural.
MHA in particular has a gigantic problem with characterization and developing characters. Horikoshi isn't simply skilled enough in that
he actually got burnt up and had to take a break
because France has no industry like Japan's to carry such a manga, he had to work even harder
I checked the anime just because Aoi Yuuki was voicing the heroine and I was pretty pleasantly surprised. You can see it's derivative of a lot of early 00's shonen jump stuff but it uses those plot devices in a distinct way and the character interactions are good too.(funnily enough the MC is probably the weakest link)
I like the ending
op is underrated
I prefer the ED

we need more evil mellie art
All I remember from this is that the piper girl that died was best girl.
>also has the best war arc I've ever read.
Have you guys read the shibuya arc in JJk? That's my most recent war arc and I really enjoyed that one
Hit post too early but I wanted to ask how does it compare to shibuya
Shibuya isn't really a traditional war arc
What makes something a war arc then? Most people who talk about shibuya have called it a war arc since it lasts for 57 chapters and was built upon since chapter 10
Kingdom's Coalition Arc feels like the perfect war arc. From the reveal making everyone on Qin shitting their pants to the ending, the stakes don't go down and the pressure just keeps mounting on the protagonists and co, with never a moment to rest.
Cool I'll check out radiant when does that arc start
Different manga, user wanted an example of a war arc so I used Kingdom as an example
Radiant and Kingdom are both good though
>Radiant thread
Based.
>it's mostly Mellie art
VERY based.
The only time I remember he took a break was when the pandemic started.
>What makes something a war arc then?
A war, I'm not joking. I agree with the user that said JJK's wasn't a war arc in the "traditional sense"
I prefer Ocoho...
Fine, I will read your manga
Based
I like her but I can't help but feel she is a little bit of a mary sue. mind control mole aside and all, of course.
Based.
Post more of the ciggie wife.
I liked Shibuya Incident, but afterwards is terrible
That's honestly balance her out decently.
Culling game is great though. The only slump was the Zen'nin massacre
