Gohan was nice, the scenes of him in the rof arc really showed how patethic and weak he was, leading to piccolo's death protecting him, starting his arc of balancing work with training until he is back in the ToP, but the super hero movie regressed him if he can't go Ultimate at will.
Goku and vegeta stayed stagnant, but it was fine really, doesn't bother me.

If it were the case that Gohan was stronger then Gohan could've actually been able to dominate Buutenks in order to b8 him into absorbing him. I actually had to double check this translation, but in the Japanese version of Chapter 156, Ten doesn't say he can "hardly keep up." Rather, he says he couldn't see Goku move at all, and starts to tremble at Goku's (suppressed) power.
Goku raised his power a little though calling it suppressed makes it seem like Ten could never have followed them at all from the start ,Let us refer that as serious Goku okay.
