unironically good news
fuck netflix
amazon makes lots of cool, high budget action animation, is amazon /our corporation/
Bakiniggers..... what now?
But cyberpunk anime. Ffs
A fully cg adaptation
they are also making work lotr
The cyberpunk anime is already made, it's in post production
It might just be western animation on the chopping block, Eastern actually draws dimes
Holy fuck yes
They cancelled literally one show and it was Western. I don't want Netflix to die until Ame wo Tsugeru Hyouryuu Danchi comes out.
>made by a studio that specializes in CG
the LOTR anime movie is going to be hilariously bad. It also doesn't have anything to do with netflix
Name a specific show by Netflix show you dislike and why
Nice try Bezos
Yasuke, it's pozzed and also actually a really bad show, all the stuff by that guy actually
Aastome ocean because the animation was 3 steps away from being ex arm
Unironically Amazon only releases high budget projects and that's the business model anime needs
Low budget Soul > High budget (((Propaganda)))
This, plus we already had a thread yesterday explaining that eastern products weren’t effected as they were licensed by Netflix
Castlevania. The only people who think there is anything salvageable from that show are people who don't like Castlevania.
Netflix will still save Japanese television
About time
It's all propaganda, Amazon is less censored than the stuff coming out in japan and less pozzed than the shit on netflix (maybe). Anyway I'm not defending amazon, but an oversaturation of low budget anime is what's destroying the industry
So what'll happen to Jojo part 6 since they're stretching the series over multiple years apparently.
Wait a minute, what will happen to Boss Baby, my favorite show?
A shame. Pacific Rim The Black was good.
Retard, I'm pretty sure this refers to their own in-house animation. Acquiring animation distribution licenses from other countries is probably not much in comparison.
Call me when they actively say "we won't be licensing anime anymore"
Live Action is our only hope.
This image gets posted so much but its so much worse than you would expect if you actually watch the scene.

Based. This means Stone Ocean is dead right?
>Name a specific show by Netflix show you dislike and why
Boss Baby. Somehow that drew viewers so humans suck
It was interesting, unique cg, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it was good
Netflix doesn't make actual anime genius, they acquires and slap their logo on it. The only thing this will get rid of is American "anime" like Castlevania.
better humor than any anime
see The Baki anime is made by TMS. Even if Netflix went bankrupt some other streaming platform or tv channel would pick it up.
How can they be losing money with fantastic shows like this?
>that art style
why
They give money to anime studios to make shows they choose. They fund pozzed shit and they make tons of shit they call "anime" that's actually written/directed by americans and shit animated by korean studios like castlevania and that witcher shit. The witcher shit was also pozzed as fuck, I'm sure someone at netflix told the creators to add lots of minorities.
That's the pedo one that shows a young girls talking vagina right?
HBO Max is better for anime.
Nah Jojo is funnier
at&t is ran by the CIA, but they make lots of media that encourages lone wolf terrorism like the joker movie, so maybe
why would anyone pick that dried beef jerky looking shit up
Yes it has a talking vagina but it's centered on pubescent gross-out "humor," everything is grotesque on purpose. That's not pedophilia, that's half a scat fetish. Calling it a pedo show is a total retard take, it's less erotic than an insurance commercial.
Yes. Also had a Planned Parenthood shilling episode. And you'll never guess who made it.

They sold WB to Discovery like 3 days ago lol
They can go under after Bastard! releases.
Reminder this got renewed to 7 seasons.
Not anime but disenchantment, because although it was decent enough it should have been so much better than it was
as much as we like to say a creators next work should be fresh and different to his last one I think it should have actually stuck closer to futuramas formula, right down to making it an isekai
How about none of these stupid "channel" services are good for anime and if we absolutely need one, we stick with the ones actually made for streaming anime specifically so they don't do dumb shit like the jail model.
Can't think of a single anime that was improved by being on any of those services
only Japanese TV show I have watched is peep time and that's on amazon
Also because the elf guys character could be really inconsistent at times
I can't remember the last time a show was an Amazon exclusive, might have been Dororo 2019, but Amazon has the best video quality by a wide margin compared to any other streaming site.
Pirate Princess was the only one I even tried to pick up and it was awful. Like something made by someone that watched toonami once or twice a year 20 years ago thinks anime looks like. Fucking bizarre, outmoded stereotypes galore.
Pirate Princess was Crunchyroll/Adult Swim and was a Japanese production. Still bad though
Wasn't Jashin-chan exclusive?
This show had nothing to do with Netlix it was licensed by Adult Swim.
>it's less erotic than an insurance commercial.
I don't know man there was a time where insurance commercials could be really sexy.
Why is netflix losing so many subscribers? What has changed?
HBO Max just gets the licenses for anime movies and puts them to watch. They're not funding shit like Netflix.
people only ever post that one scene. surely there's more QUALITY from netGITS
Good riddance
pandemic?
Yasuke is probably the only one I can think of that simply shouldn't exist. It would've been fine if they made it a slightly exaggerated historical anime though.
they put more ads in
charged people more
people fucked off
they got mad and started doing stupider shit like restricting password sharing and shit like that
Which is retarded, just download shows and use emby or plex you stupid normalfags.
>we want the fujo audience
More competition, they're raising the prices and trying to fuck with people who shares their password with other family members.
interesting, what does this mean for the future of the company? Who runs it now, big jews?
COVID dying down + Several quality competitors + shows getting pulled + no quality originals
> What has changed?
They charged more and more money for a service that got worse and worse as they lost the rights to more and more shows.
Honestly netflix has produced some decent movies, a whisker away and modest heroes were quite good, they have also done some irreparable damage to the anime industry in other ways though, particularly in their overuse of CG and involving lots of american and korean people and companies in productions they call anime.
