Come on in and join the wonderful world of Ran Uruma, growing girl and magical wunderkind! Watch as she runs into, often times literally, a varied cast of humans, sorcerers, people in-between, and embodiments of ancient insatiable and all devouring evils. Buoyed by fantastic art, this is a fun exploration of a magical world and a great story about family, growing up, and relationships of all colors and shapes using a varied set of perspectives and a substantial cast of characters.
She's not the smartest beast. That'd be giving in to her midnight flights. Gotta teach her not to do that. And falling off her bed repeatedly is probably a good start.
Thank you OP I started this series ages ago, enjoyed it but then somehow couldn't read for a while after I reached volume two or something, forgot about it and when I remembered the series again I forgot the content so I planned to re-read it. This is a good opportunity.
I love that series and it's yet another example for how good original fantasy is. I wish this would get an anime on day. Cannot believe it, but I wouldn't have thought Atelier Witch Hat to get one either.
Not much interest in trying to the magic powers I suppose. Thats how it goes. Its a really imaginative work. At least it was allowed to run as long as it needed to. Not axed or cut short or anything. Thats more than some other series get.
>At least it was allowed to run as long as it needed to. Not axed or cut short or anything. Thats more than some other series get. Yeah you can really consider yourself lucky when that happens. Even MiA was about to get cancelled at some point. The based person that decided to adapt it saved it from irrelevancy. I even remember how sporadic the Scanlations were. Ousama Ranking would have never got a proper translation either without that. I am glad Frieren and Witch Hat are doing well, there are quite many good fantasy manga out there.
Thats a wrap for today's storytime. An introduction to our main family unit. And some ideas of the general personalities of our main characters. And an idea of how the magic of this world is treated and what it is like. I hope you all enjoyed and plan to stick with it.
It's been years since I read this but the rapey glasses guy ruined it.

>What'd you think of the introduction? I like it a lot because it's..original? Distinct. Just as the art style. Sure there are a lot of series with magical family members but it feels unique so far and the characters are nice. It's fun and light-hearted but it comes off like something that has an exact idea of that it wants to be so I don't worry about the series meandering in the future.

I find him hilarious in how much he's basically Kaiba from Yugioh written as a romantic interest. He goes too far in some places, I'd agree. But the payoff for them is worth it.
