I think people complained a bit too hard yesterday with the Eva trained by Dana retcon. >after Eva is turned she's a literal child with immortality, she's not from a magic using family, at least no base child level training >runs around for a while (presumably in scotland? or europe in general), learns life as an immortal 10 year old is complete fucking shit >dana goes here maybe, depends on if she truly picked her up when Eva was 16 >somehow learns that MM is a thing and goes >eventually somehow becomes mega powerful that she's used as a bogeyman
It stands to reason that someone taught her, at least the basics, more so if Dana shows up and gives a 'we're the same monster' speech.
Eva admits pretty early that she was 'turned' not natively born. So her calling herself (or letting others) a high daylight walker is just her LARPing. We knew well before the end, that Eva was an experiment in vampirism and we NEVER saw a true one. Eva also had/has a show off personality, if people want to give labels to her that prop her up, she's all for it.
Dana's spiel about love/destined one is fine and makes sense. She is a fucking timelord thing. She's already seen 12 thousand years ahead and has decided 'Yep, I'm going to make sure it happens in this timeline as well'. Dana is the logical conclusion to Chao going back in time to fuck with things so that they 'turn out better'.
I'm enjoying Dana so far. She's absurd, but sufficiently so for an immortal dimension/timeline hopper. Seriously she's just like someone playing video games, and reloading saves at different points, playing for like a day, then tomorrow picking a random different save to play through a bit of. She's just the extreme end of the multiverse shenanigans, and once again this is something introduced at mahrofest. >almost fully kills santa because of a joke and couldn't care if it actually happened She's you when you feel like not restarting/loading after killing (accidentally or failing an escort) some NPCs
Her main problem really is being ugly. If she wasn't fat, ddin't have dreadlocks, and other stuff, she needed more workshoping before Ken put her in. If she was super hot it would be so much better.
You don't like it if an immortal gets one-itis, and knows they've got weird time hijinks going on. Doesn't she give up on waiting for him because she thinks he died for reals? Or does she only realize the timeloop has 'closed' once she runs into him after the konoe's are killed?
Interesting, so there is something like a quality to save points?
Also, unrealted, but I just binged all 41 chapters of the otome-game-mob manga, and all I can say is it's pretty cool, wonder if a man or woman wrote the original LN.
