From what I know, Healer Girls is a seiyuu unit that's formed to promote the anime. The anison covers were out in youtube before the anime because they want to promote the anime, but also because they collabed with anison days, some kind of project that covers anison.
Honestly I shouldn't be talking because I don't know enough info on this, so just look into it more I guess.

It does have pharmacology, though it all sounds like pharmacology 101 stuff. I'm saying this as an autistic 25 year old though wondering why 12 year old girls are having issues with entry level college courses.

I mean doctors would generally want to know what medication someone is taking before prescribing any treatment, song healing isn't probably that different in that regard.

Probably why not everyone wants to become one. Although when you think about it, they don't really have any extra curricular and we don't know if they get time off from school to do healer stuff, cause it looks like they intern at the healing place during the day.
I did sports in middle school, so that + boy scouts kept me pretty busy. I bet if you replaced that with "Healer singer bullshit" then I'd stay about the same level of business.

it's multimedia. original anime doesn't make nearly enough to cover its costs on its own, so almost always it'll be paired with other projects for more streams of revenue. with a music anime like this your best margins are going to be album releases and live concerts, with the anime only existing to get your name out there in the first place

I remember someone noticed that there seems to be some kind of symbolism within the girls' hair colours:
