God bless Ishida. To this day ch 125 is one of the best and most satisfying chapters I've ever read in anything all my life.
In so many anime, manga, video games, movies, books, etc, etc you always see a chance for a great romance that 98% of the time is always ruined because the hack authors always choose the worst possible girl, or just decide to not do any romance between two characters that would've been a perfect match to the point that every one ships them but the pretentious writers are too stubborn to go with it.
With Tokyo Ghoul It's finally nice to see one of those incredibly rare instances of actually good romance between two characters that are interesting, had a developed relationship, seem to be a perfect match for each other, and actually ended up together.

Tho for kaneki I am glad he ended up with touka, it's just the relationship that was built up and worked on much more than anything else, dare I say the only one that had any validity and didn't seem cracky, even hinami would have felt weird, touka is also probably kaneki's healthiest option.

Not really, he never made a honest attempt to confront Eto and just delegated his responsibility to Kaneki who was complete stranger and had many of his own problems. Certainly he has no more rights to happy ending than any other character.

The wish being granted is still somewhat possible given that anteiku was confirmed to have been rebuilt after the series ended and Eto's fate is not fully confirmed, using the name anteiku instead of re implies it carries the same purpose as anteiku, a home for kaneki and touka just like it was for them, and also originally a home for Eto to return to, this could be linked to the book and coffee cup in the last panel, but it's mostly just a headcanon theory.
It's quite unfortunate we have to result to this instead of just having outright answers to all this shit, going off vague descriptions of mystery, but honestly Ishida was far too lenient during the last arc, he saved both Naki and kurowia from pretty much certain death, I wouldn't put it far behind him that he finally fulfills Yoshimura's wish, closest it will ever be is Eto living considering Yoshimura gotta be dead.
I still would have enjoyed an actual convo between Eto and Yoshimura where they lay their cards on the table and realize they were both wrong with how they treated eachother, but it sadly didn't happen, I am a real sucker for family unconditional love, such a shame.
I still enjoy Eto's character a lot despite all the bs, she's definitely my favorite character in the series

I agree by actions towards his daughter, Yoshimura is definitely a horrible father that threw his responsibility onto others, instead of handling things himself, from noroi to sachi to kaneki, he even showed that his mindset didn't change about saving himself when he suggested sending hinami to the 24th ward after the CCG started going after her, knowing full well how his own daughter turned out from growing up in that place.
But he is still a figure that contributed so much to kaneki's and touka's positive outlook on life, he picked up ghouls from the street and taught them how to be people, he saved their lives basically, i don't think his behavior towards his daughter and him working for V completely invalidates him, he's definitely a flawed person, he was hired gun (or kagune) for most of his life, so I still enjoy his character a lot, and i do think he deserves to live a lot more than half the clowns who literally tried to end the world and turn everyone into ghouls
