It always pissed me off that they revealed Minato was Naruto’s father in a boring conversation between Jiraya and Tsunade before he left for the hidden rain.
This sucks because the perfect time to reveal it would have been during Jiraya’s death flashback when he remembers Minato and is told Naruto’s name will be based on his story. This happened right after that conversation too so it wouldn’t even delay it much.
It’s such a simple obvious improvement I do not u understand how Kishimoto nor his editor thought of it.

What surprises me is how unbelievably stupid this reveal is overall. How does Kishi justify everyone in Konoha over the age of 18 knowing Minato is Naruto's father with how they treat him before and after this is revealed (and how this shit never crossed anyone's mind when thinking about Naruto until now or how Ninja President doesn't get a name until over 300 chapters into the story when it would have been public record)? Shit's never made sense to keep a secret, either from readers or from Naruto himself. It makes Kakashi, Jiraiya, Tsunade, Hiruzen, etc look like uncaring, schizophrenic assholes. What kind of half assed attempt at mystery meets dramatic irony was Kishi going for? The only way this shit would have made any sense was if no one knew Minato had a child. Of course for that to work, him and Kushina couldn't be married (that's a big no for Kishi) or secretly married or something.

Which is weird because the correct option was to just not have Naruto and Sasuke be involved in the plot like how Hiruzen and Tsunade never got involved in the big fights unless they hit the village directly.
They could have reduced the powerlevel back down to reasonable levels and just have the groups always travel outside the village to get jumped by missing-nin and other assorted bandits.

It would have been too much like Naruto though. I don't understand why people complain about things like this, I see it a lot with video games, where they complain how things that weren't in the old game aren't in this new one. If you want the Naruto: Shippuden power scales and Naruto Part 1 storyline, then watch NARUTO. Why do we expect the Boruto story to be identical to that? Why can't Ikemoto/Kishi move forward with the story, and pick up where we left off with Shippuden; OTSUTSUKI.

Your story needs to scale to your protagonist, if Boruto is out there fighting with Otsutsuki then either Boruto is strong enough to beat aliens which nullifies all threats from most sources OR Boruto isn't strong and most of the fighting is done from sources outside himself which means he's a shit protagonist.

Not really, it's not like most shonen MC's don't gain powerups mid-battle, obviously we didn't see it a lot in Naruto, but in stories like Bleach/Hunter x Hunter/Black Clover, etc. we see it happen a lot. Boruto doesn't necessarily scale to a lot of the people he fights, and evidently uses his elders or team mates as crutch, but in return he's gaining experience and knowledge of how these "God's" fight. I mean didn't we just see Boruto use stage 2 karma for the first time a few chapters ago against Code? Where did that even come from? It was a necessary power up in order to evenly match an opponent that was previously stomping on him.
