So let me get this straight, the entire story of Naruto is about the main character wanting to be accepted by the village and become Hokage.
And we get a climactic battle between him and the leader of the akatuski, which the story built up to for a decade, and after defeating him gets accepted by the village and cheered on. And even though they’ve already established a young person can become a kage with Gaara, he still doesn’t become the Hokage right then even though he’s the hero of the leaf.
So what pray tell is going to be how he becomes hokage in the manga? Surely the author must have a far better idea if he’s passing up this perfect point to insert it in.
No, he doesn’t even become Hokage in the manga, it gets off screened between the second to last and last chapter.
And when we finally see him become hokage, it is a one shot gag chapter where as a joke he gets knocked out and it isn’t even him at the ceremony.
