No. It's the kind of development people who are functionally illiterate will never understand. Historia's growth arc was to rise above the sins of her father and become her own person - "the worst girl in the world". Her marrying her "bully" is beside the point. Esepcially because she meant to have the baby as a threat against what she perceived to be Eren's sense of justice in pic related. The lines on her face indicate a look of shock and her eyebrows indicate pleading. It's a bit more obvious in the anime.

That's the point. He was always going to rumble the earth flat for reasons that extend beyond deterministic predestination. Not a single one of his friends actually understood what Eren was. Levi was probably the only character in the series who truly understood Eren and he let his loyalty to his comrades override what his intuition was telling him.

It's true that mikasa was always more popular but the editorial team didn't care so much before the ending. As the ending got closer and closer, the whole team pressured yama into changing it to fit with the most popular characters.
It's plenty obvious that his writing style changed dramatically the closer it got to the ending. Especially the infamous eren rant.
If you fail to see that this is actually a metaphor for yama calling himself pathetic for letting them change it, then idk what to tell you.

Not every character can share the same narrative importance nor the same amount of screen time, at least not unless you're trying to write a period story rather than focus on the personal journey of relatively few characters. There are major actors and minor actors in a play. You're acting as if some development off-screen that you didn't like somehow betrays the narrative set-up when it's just in proportion to Hisu's importance.
