2006 was 16 years ago
2006 was 16 years ago
Yes, and?
What's with that retarded border?
Did you find this screenshot on some aggregator website?
Okay boomer
Soul overload
VGH! WHEN YOVTVBE WAS SOVLFVL!
>2006 was 16 years ago
Oh....
data caps were still a thing back then so I can't say I miss it too much
Not OP, but I pine for a return to that era of the Internet. Of course, we keep the sper high speeds, but ditch the homogenized content that normies snort on a daily basis.
I made my YouTube account in 2006 to watch the first episode of Chobits, since someone had flagged it as inappropriate.
I don't want to go back, my life has always been shit.
I don't want to go forward, I fear the future and death.
I can't enjoy the present, because the aforementioned regrets and fears hold on tight onto me.
A lifetime of misery. I wish I was never born.
wow crazy time changes insane holy crapola that's remarkable, going crazy over it wow!
Can't say I miss waiting five times the video's actual length for the damn thing to buffer though.
Unironically one of the best years of anime along with 2007. And I'm not just saying that from a nostalgic point of view, I genuinely believe it
I only watched like uh 2 shows from that list lol.
Soulful webpage design
2003 was good too.
Can we finally decide when did anime die? 2007, 2008, 2009 or 2012?
Why are you under the impression that anime is dead?
2016
This post reeks of first world
What went so wrong?
I'm not one of those "anime died" people. I just think some years are better than others. Even in the 2007 era that I just said was great, people were calling anime dead because of Lucky Star and then K-On the following year
Honestly, I feel this obsession with finding a specific time where anime died just indicates newfaggotry to me
Anime will die in 9
Rope is pretty cheap

What's sad for me is I didn't even discover Youtube until a friend introduced it to me in like 2005 or 2006, like not sure how long it had been out but I was hooked instantly. I couldn't believe such a website existed, of course I was like 11-12 years old, didn't even have my first laptop/computer till I was 13. Up until that point I had been using my parents computer to mostly look at porn and I knew how to clear browser history.

Based. FUCK existence desu
16 years and i still can't find a better anime than Aria: the animation.
>evolution of dance
Holy shit, the nostalgia hit hard now.
So, you're telling me you want to live this moment forever?
Spic here, I feel the same
so babies born in that age are perfectly ripe for consumption now?
Hahaha, YES
I was happy in 2006.
I have always said that the technology of today is great. But the content and the mindset of the West today is so bad I wish we could return to the early 00's.
This is the first anime that I watched subbed and I watched it in this exact way. This image hits like a truck ;_;
I didn't know youtube existed 16 years ago. Did they even have phones then?
I would say around 2008. The financial crisis really fucked with the industry and it never really recovered since.
sugoi b8, faggot
Really?
evolve or die
Well I think we have a pretty good chance at that some time soon, a lot of people are missing the 2000s.
Youtube launched hits 17 years old in 7 days. The OG iphone came with Youtube in 2007. Logo looked like picrel
i remember this, used to love this app, too bad time passes.
Before the mystical voodoo of algorithms
I can't help but think there's something sinister about however the fuck youtube's algorithms work and what gets promoted and fed to your recommended feed
Man I feel so fucking old now
The trick is to pay attention and not just slide down the rabbit hole.
After 10 videos about how the government is evil, and you notice all recommendations are tinfoil hat shit, you watch a few videos about how conspiracy tards are dumb and unwilling to face reality and then a few mainstream "oh look, I can blow bubbles out of my ass" videos. And so you can begin your experience anew.
Under capitalism no workers benefit. While you land is raped and pillaged by western imperialists workers in the US grow disillusioned and depressed. The bourgeoisie benefits but I'm sure there's negative effects on them.
But seeing how socialism with never rise in the west and I'm a sack of shit I'll probs join the biggest anime club and commit sudoku
Stagevu was better than youtube for a significant time period tbqh
Why did you attach a pic of your little brother to this post?
We are standing at a crossroads.
The forces of the current crisis might tear the old order apart. Or society just slips into a fascist suit to preserve order.
Or we blow ourselves up with nukes.
Something's going to happen. You don't know what. But it's going to be "interesting".
This. Anime girls makes it slightly more bearable but it was always a hellish experience. I just wanna end it all...
I miss when Firefox was good.
No one should have been watching that on youtube then when there were better methods.
This post reeks spicsness.
Matate indio
Nobody wants to go back
Finding subs online back in those days were a fucking nightmare sometimes
shut up nerd
It's funny thinking about elitists of the past
>look at these ANIMALS I'm watching in crisp state-of-the-art 480p, the only possible way to watch
Yeah maybe I'll stick around. I wouldn't mind being a meat shield for the North American Peoples Liberation Army.
Sunako is a smelly girl
You can always just kill yourself you know.
Im watching one of these show's right now. Its very good, unlike the one before it.
Downloading was always the best method, even when quality was bad.
Fucking Christ, when will humanity invent a time travelling machine? I want to go back so bad.
and every day, i want to die a little more
you fossils are fr old enough to be nostalgia for 2006?
I miss those times
yes, funny how at the time a video with 100k views was considered viral
All you need is a sufficiently powerful telescope and you can watch the past, reflected in a black hole somewhere.
Of course, with the video quality of 2006, and such a massive distance that the light would have traveled since, you likely won't be able to recognize much, even with a perfect telescope.
I remember picking this manga up on a whim as kid when anime and manga was entirely this mystical, otherwordly experience, I was puzzled at how that relationship was depicted yet it, like how clearly it was framed as romantic but the creator goes out of the way to not give that impression. Little did I know this was standard formula in a standardized industry.
Anime was already getting broadcast in 1080p back then.
And you missed the great VLC war.
i wonder how much more corporate it'll become in 2026.
Don't worry about telling us, we know you're underage.
