Why do people even like this character? Do you just ignore how abrasive she is?

I don't see how that makes her likeable. She could just take his game the next time without being upset. Is getting upset at someone for breaking the rules and being so abrasive to people who do make her likeable? And that certainly doesn't answer how they end up together.

Because Ishigami himself understands why she's like that with him. He even goes thinking about how he maybe should get his shit together but can't be assed to.
And turns out that when he's not making an ass of himself or actively antagonizing her, she's actually helpful and kind.

To be fair, the midget has a lot of the qualities he supposedly liked about Tsubame. Iino falling for him is a copout, sure, but Ishigami does have reasons to like her.

Dude, she's extremely abrasive... and folds like a wet tissue paper if you give her even ONE compliment. She's basically one of those small dogs that won't stop growling at you, but shut up immediately if you pet it. She's adorable.

The fact that she's the only reason why Ishigami even made it to high school is another big reason. Her sense of justice is fair, though a bit harsh. Coupled with the fact that she was still doing that stuff even though it made people hate her made readers/watchers kind of respect that.

It didn't take even half the chapters that mess with Tsubame took. Which is honestly impressive given how despite all the time alloted, we learned jack shit about the girl besides that she's "kind".

Iino's is earnest and sincere, which is an admirable quality, especially in a woman. She also has a cuter side, like her weird sleeping habbits and Internet life.

She's adorable, more so when she and Ishigami squabble like an old married couple, and eventually, she falls in love with him. You have to understand that she had a falling out with Ishigami in middle school. They were on good terms back then, and even Osaragi thought they would make a good couple. The cause of the fallout is due to a misunderstood mistake, one that Miko will come to realize on her own.

Oh boy. First, he isn't technically wrong. Even up to the last day of graduation, Ishigami couldn't write an apology and what awaits him is failing to graduate or expulsion. Miko's arguing with staff or faculty on his behalf which caught the headmaster's attention is implied to be why he was able to move on to high school.

Ishigami then enrolled in Shuchiin Academy, catching Kaguya's attention, and with the help of Prez, Kaguya, and F, they unearthed what happened to Ishigami and pulled some strings to get him in.

I don't usually say a girl is ruined by her show, but Miko really is a great submissive girl that just reacts aggressively to passiveness.
In other word, to every male character in this show including her supposed love interest.
That gives Ishigami a reason to man up, but that also makes it very predictable because he lacks the few required chad points to manhandle Miko.
