What made the Kimetsu no Yaiba manga so much more popular than any other manga of its time?

The deep writing, complex characters, top tier art, genius comedy, among other things.

Still not gonna watch your zoomer shit

Your loss. Enjoy your pedo ninja show.

Nezuko's feet are made for Tanjiro's dick

me

I don't care because I'm going to keep reading old manga

The anime and merchandise

Huh?

It's not as popular as it used to be, OP.

only sincere manga in isekai hell

Timing

to japanese it appeals because of how "japanese" it is
to foreigners it appeals because of pretty animations

Relax KnY user, It's solid, not the next tale of genji.
Sure Jan, see you next season like everyonelse

Luck

I have no idea. It feels like it's being carried by the animation.

The author's internalised misogyny.

Whole story centers around a boy who takes the role of the patriarchy by placing his sister in a box with a gag so that she can't speak or be seen, and then lets her come out when he needs her, only to promptly put her back in the box when she's no longer needed.

The boy is presented as the hero of the story because the female author is brainwashed by japanese society.

Nobody taking my bait ?

...

The animation

It came and went, a solid, serviceable shonen that had the decency to finish in 4 years.
That counts for a lot when you get sick of watching series drag themselves.

It was a bit too obvious mate, you shouldn't have lead with the misogyny part and used it somewhere in the middle/end of the post

Wasn't KnY already selling like hotcakes before the anime?

Note taken!

not really but it's on the way to beat Black Clover

Based.

Built for Douma

I am not wrong tho. A lot of fans moved on to something else because we don't often get new content. It's understandable because the manga ended long time ago. Old fans will still watch it once the new season comes out. That's how industry works anyway. You don't expect fans to read or watch the same thing all over agan and again every single day, right?

What is Lucky Star and K-on!

The forced animation of ufotable carried it along the covid outbreak, as well no hard competition for that season

post feet

>Feet
But why?

OP was asking about Kimetsu no Yaiba

why not

The fact that they're not wearing shoes or socks.

I don't know, I haven't read it

I like the animation, the music, and the execution in general. I don't care about predictable plot points as long as it's done well.
Speaking of the music I wish it was easier to find uploads of the soundtrack. It's literally nothing but "EPIC VERSION" remixes everywhere distorting all the searches.

it killed off characters and all the edgy teens were like WOOO

Why not?
Why is KnY "le funny -oomer word"?

It's because it takes place in Japan during a point before WW2 which is so rose-tinted glasses romanticized it's basically a meme at this point.

But why not, faggot?

It's formulaic in a good way. It doesn't tread any new ground, but it struts down that that old ground like a fashion runway with its head held high.

The reason it was so successful was because of what wasn't there as much was what was. It avoided a lot of dumb cliches and wrapped up neatly instead of dragging on at the end

bump

Is that Murata?

Cute and canon

Attached: 1638895165622.jpg (529x746, 62.15K)

Because it was a new standard shonen during a time when moeshit and isekai have basically taken over the industry. That and the show is pretty well animated.

My hero academia appeal but not so shite

cute feet, too bad the designs in the actual show are all wide manlets with stumpy legs for some reason

ufotable

Nezuko is very popular among young girls plus the breathing effects are cool and everyone likes those. And there’s actual consequence in the manga which isn’t present in many shonen. The traditional romanticization of Japan is beloved amongst current globohomo and the demon backstories are sad but not ridiculous like one piece

Its got good fights. Sorry but most shonen like hero has 1000% dogshit fights.

>Nezuko is very popular among young girls
This. There were at least 6 Nezukos Trick-or-Treating in my neighborhood last Halloween. There were only 2 Tanjiros and 1 Zenitsu.

I'm Asian and literally every other elementary school girl here has a nezuko backpack or pencil case

The manga actually finished.
Many characters died.
Fights are smart, not like dragonball or boruto.
The story wasn't as predictable as others shonen.

These.

It does what it has well. The entertainment arc also basically sets a new standard for anime.
