I tried to watch Teknoman but it *was* childish. I did feel bad when Blade's sister died.

I don't remember it well enough. I tried watching it on dvd with the dubbing (I generally prefer sub, unless I'm lazy or lying down) but I couldn't. Then I turned on subs and it was superior.
As an example, Blade was.flying around dodging bad guys attacks and he goes "ha ha, missed me" meanwhile what he actually says is nothing.

My favorite scene was that informant guy getting shot by mistake and when the last thing he reminisces about is having had sex with her.

The problems are the pacing, and an anime-original ending because the novels were ongoing.
