What makes an animation forced?
What makes an animation forced?
Hideaki Anno is a genius of visual direction.
When I don't like it
>Asuka will never force food into your mouth
What makes this crop scary to zoomers?
How does her hair stay in place? This isn't even forced animation, it is just bad animation with a shaky cam. The model looks like it is made of plastic and moves as such.
When the guy isn't into it and has like a violent outburst. And I happen to be an expert on the subject.
>The model looks like it is made of plastic and moves as such.
For a character whose entire personality is latex and bdsm? And who refers to herself as a doll?
Asuka distinctly says she is not a doll. In any case, I'm saying the animation looks like plastic, not the texture.
If it's not a still frame with mouth flap it's forced
MAPPA.
The drastic model and camera change before and after they used cgi bodies is so jarring here.
Yeah cause it's something you need to specifically point out in a normal conversation. Like when a guy points out he's not gay.
It's forced if it's forced
simple as
Is she feeding him rice crispies?
In their specific case I can see how it would count. Like how you don't call one nigga a ghetto.
Sometimes less is more.
More than 12 frames per second
It's not literally CalorieMate, but it's that kind of foil-wrapped ration cookie.
Toji's house is better Toji's house is better Toji's house is better Toji's house is better Toji's house is better Toji's house is better
you think she got her fans after rebuilds? Dumb nigger
What I'd give for Asuka to force-feed me...
Lacking a brain, like basically all of your problems.
B!B!B!
YEEART
Fuck off with your nice things. Shinji wants to eat hardtack inside a ruin for a while.
wtf?
Good old fashioned Korean bootleg animation.
I lurked here enough to tell you Asuka in rebuild has her own "defenders"
Somebody messed up the cell order in the t and z axis.
> Animation thread
> People try to make it yet ANOTHER Eva seething thread
It can always get worse. It wasn't SnK.
As opposed to animation happening naturally in the wild without human interference?
A bunch of retards seething over Asuka like what your doing now
ughhh this looks so badaddddddddddd hahaha
god i wish that were me
CUTE CUTERNO
Oh, I see which way the wind's blowing. You fucks already did this yesterday. Sorry about your animation thread OP, it's a lost cause.
>He RAN
I agree with this one user from an older thread that said that if it was the original Eva, it would only show a shot of the plate
Yeah, but not just a shot of the plate. I think they'd have to put in a shot of a look of disdain on Asuka's face and Shinji looking despondent too.
Just a shot establishing the location with nobody visible, Asuka's voice shrieking about Shinji being too baka to eat and him grunting to communicate what's happening, and the rest of the package smashed on the ground to represent a struggle. Then it could cut straight to Shinji squatting in the crumbling shell of a building waiting to die of exposure until Rei comes.
Kino Slayer
I remember she was wobbling her hips here
Simple and effective. That's why we liked Anno.
I think that was a product of cel animation in general. It was much more expensive to animate a lot of action so they had to use various tricks of storyboarding and editing to convey the same idea without showing everything.
Forced animation is when a scene has more detail put into the animation than usual (this is relative to the show and type of scene involved) because the director wants to emphasise what's going on in that scene, but because of some failure on the part of the narrative the viewer doesn't see the scene as important, significant, or otherwise deserving of as much care as it received (maybe the scene is an emotional one but the proper setup hasn't been established so the viewer doesn't care, or the animation is too overdone so it just looks silly compared to the rest of the show) so there's a huge disconnect between the response the director was trying to elicit from the viewer, and the actual response of the viewer.
>Forced animation is when a scene has more detail put into the animation than usual
Usually anime has a worse animation quality than the scenes where specific animators are hired. You're a weaboo and base your information on weaboo sources and come up with weaboo fantasies that you try to sell to fellow weaboo retards.
I-frames. It so they're able to get back up without taking more damage or end up in stun lock.
>when you can tell that the anime girl mocap was made by a 35+ year old male
When it's unnecessary. Don't think your example is related though.
Annos cinematography was better in the 90s. He still pretty good for a Japanese film maker but hes went down hill. He too rich now and incapible of relating anymore to make great things, its like what happened to famous Blue/Jazz singers after they got famous, not feeling the emotion and feelings anymore after becoming rich to make the songs that got you famous.
I know this show's a special case, so don't take it as a dig toward it, but I HATE when digitally tacked-on textures on a characters' clothes stay still while they move. Hell, they look bad on stills as it is, as you can tell they just pasted a pattern on top of their clothes without any regard as to contours or angle (happens in manga, too), but it just looks so much worse in motion.
Don't delude yourself, bashing eva was OPs intention all along.
I've avoided 3.0+1.0 and the more I see the more I confirm that was the right choice. The direction for this shot is fucking awful and it isn't just this one. Focusing on whats-her-face's (new character's) ass while she collapses into tears is an insane directorial decision. The rebuilds turned the fan service up from the already horny TV show and it just doesn't work. And the animation I have seen from 3.0+1.0 looks anywhere from passable to bad which is such a shame when the original and EoE have so many iconic well-animated scenes.
I tripped over my own foot and ended up shitting myself.
Asushinbro btw.
This, but I think there would be that shot of Asuka being mad looking out the window to establish that Shinji left.
Nice blog. Cringe take.
The movie is shit, he's right. Cope.
all animation is forced
Do you think the OP animation looks good?
