Goodbye Eri

Fujimoto released his magnus opum. How the hell will I ever enjoy something else?

Kino author

271 kino count from the last chapter

This page is unironically like something out of an old Smosh skit
Pretty hilarious though

Yeah it's a really good comedy manga with some humanity splashed in. In the end it's comedy, but it have soul

>magnus opum

Fujimoto is only 28 and has already accomplished more than most mangaka in their lifetimes. I can't wait to read 30 more years of absolute kinography from him. He is unironically one of the greatest mangaka to ever live, right up there with eiichiro oda, toriyama, and to a lesser extent hirohiko araki and hiro mashima.

His movements still look stiff.

I could not enjoy it as a comedy, artsy stuff like this always make me so tense.

Kek I teared up but then laughed. It was good

i think this one-shot was a good blend of mindfuckery and entertainment. didn't care for csm but it gives me hope for part 2

Literally Yea Forums equivalent of Normie Ring

Hey cmon man he's just a dad helping out for his son's movie, don't be mean

For some reason, I can"t connect with this guy's characters. Whenever I felt like I got to know them better, he'd pull the rug from under my feet and insert some ebin twist out of left field and make me question whether I just trust his characters. It's a very weird feeling and I do not like these type of stories

Tarantino vibes

i should*

Fujimoto actually has a good grasp on delivering good dialogues, probably one of the best in the industry when it comes to good prose. It's just too bad he has to twist le everyone dies card every now and then so you can get your expectations S U B V E R T E D broooo.

real best girl

terminal illness one-shots are completely overdone and cliche. i was glad to see him go in a different direction than usual

>I failed to be a writer so now I write "critique" out of envy in my blog

holy shit some of you are massive fujimoto cock suckers lmao

seethe

>I'm the award-winning and internationally published author of acclaimed writing guides

love how this post makes the fujitards seethe, because they know deepdown it's true

Oh, great. The hack who only looks good because he referenced already popular things. Zoomers and millennials really have the worst taste.

Self-indulgent is a meme critique, like something being soulless.

Fujimotos oneshots are better than his series
Chainswaw was a trainwreck towards the end and all the stakes and loose ends were erased and I didnt even finished Firepunch
But this was good shit

I didn't understand the ending, but I liked it.

Damn if people think this is better than his manga which I haven't read yet, it doesn't really make me want to pick them up desu

Where do I read this in not-dogshit quality? Why are the official scanlation sites (Viz and Mangaplus) so garbage?

What do you guys like about Fujimoto so much? He's alright but he doesn't have that many stand out moments, other than some comedic ones. I wish he'd lean into comedy a bit more.

Am retard, someone please spoonfeed me the end because I didn't understand it

people in this board generally either have trash taste or are mindless consoomers, so never trust what you read

the agni panel is not a comedic moment it’s just been memed a lot. it context it hits hard which is why people post it. it is a stand out moment

Was it all a movie, a desperate guy trying to cope with lost or just a bizarre joke?
Its up to you to decide

Chainsaw Man has 100 chapters, just try it out, read up to the kiss scene and you'll find out if you like it or not.

Okay so this man clearly has mommy issues right

Im not even sure what modern mangaka you would like if you cant into Fuji…

He takes lots of risks in his works while also keeping the comedic element in a grim way so it evens them out. Other mangaka would take themselves too seriously but Fuji is self ware enough to still try to connect with the reader, most of the time with 4th wall breaks but it works.

He likes women that would kick the shit out of him and spit in his mouth, that is all

I didn't mean like that. I just didn't think much of the "epic" moments. I like his humour. The scene in CSM with the Chainsaw Man at the family restaurant is peak.
>keeping the comedic element in a grim way so it evens them out
This is what I enjoy most in his works.

I enjoyed the oneshot, though I start getting the feeling that I've seen the gamut of Fujimoto's narrative bag of tricks and he's starting to repeat himself. The ending was amusing, though a bit blunt in his attempt to recreate a Inception style "spinning top" moment. Amusing story though, that kept toying with my expectations.

>he says while repeating his post

What if Fujimoto want us to rearrange this manga and make chronological timeline?

Chainsaw Man is pretty entertaining. Fire Punch is not. That will be your impression once you do.

He makes the manga equivalent of Deadpool movies.

Damn off by 1. Wouldn't have been wasted on this pasta.

he pretend to be his own little sister on twitter and enjoys having his own bike kicked down by a random gyaru in his high school

this man is not right in the head

He takes inspiration from everything I liked as a kid.

he added an explosion because explosions are cool.
but also he killed eri because she's a vampire.
but also it was all a movie all along so you have no idea if anything that happened in it is real or part of the movie

being a contrarian doesn't make you look smarter

I didn't mean Fujimoto isn't a good mangaka, I'm just wondering what the obsession is about. He drops a one-shot and ~5 threads are up at once.

But it does in fact make you reply. My rabu will also give me dabu.

His art is good, he has a better sense of humour than most authors, and he takes influence from more than otaku culture making him more unique and accessible

People resonated heavily with Fire Punch and Chainsaw Man. His cinematic style of story telling appeals to a lot of people and he has multiple large memes attached to his creation.

Disliking popular things is my entire personality

>self-indulgence
>excessive or unrestrained gratification of one's own appetites, desires, or whims
it's really just a roundabout way of saying that you don't mesh with author's themes or tropes or bits, but it sounds like a legit complaint to me
i don't give a shit about cinema and crazy chicks so fujimbo's insistence on including them does nothing for me usually and actively annoys me occasionally

1 thread to talk about it and 4 threads about people shitposting and being contrarians.
you should ask the haters why they're so obsessed about it
