Historybros, analysis on the the bottom right dudes or not important?

I like Kusunoki and how he's handling this complicated clusterfuck between the emperor, Takauji and Tokiyuki.

Forgot pic

Tomorrow, he'll have all but forgotten about the,.

I don't understand what Kinmune means by "barbarians" here. In the first page it seems like an insult, on the second it seems respectful. Any historybros up to explaining this please?

Somehow I didn't expect this guy to go for the stoic dignified end but I should have. Nice to see even the minor characters have depth.

They both die in 1336, months apart

Yeah no shit his chin is hard to grab.
That receding, barely there protrusion is gross.

From a cursory glance they don't seem much important. They were just military advisors / governors / generals that were loyal to Go-Daigo.
You might see a bit more of them, but most likely not too much.

End of chapter.
Is THAT battle about to get started?

God, her legs.

Why the hell did seeing him cry angry, frustrated tears make her heart skip a beat?

What I expected: over 50% shota LINE stamps
What I got: over 50% old man LINE stamps

Did someone say TRAINING ARC?

The fight for Kamakura? Seems like it. Tadayoshi is about to get his ass beat.

>I don't understand what Kinmune means by "barbarians" here.
From a court noble's pov the Kamakura based warriors including the Hojo are basically "barbarians" (too much fighting, not enough poetry and refined pastimes etc - it was actually not that simple but it's how the nobles would have seen it), so it's an insult but in this context there's a mutual respect because they're on the same side so it almost turns into a affectionate nickname.

Time to reclaim Kamakura, I'm surprised he didn't chew them out for Takauji but he probably saw it coming

Oh THAT pavilion

Sadamune stickers?

If Takauji hadn't rustled seethy shota's jimmies then this might've done it

Thank you senpai.

They're not THAT important but they might show up later. Nawa had a role in helping Go-Daigo when he got back from his exile, these two along with Kusunoki are some of the emperor's more loyal supporters, Nawa is the one who has Kinmune killed, also there's a joke there about the grass because these two, another guy and Kusunoki have names that kinda have "tree" or "grass" in it so they were called 3 trees and one grass. So really nothing that relevant.

what battle would that be? I'm not so versed in this era of japanese history

How the FUCK did he get away with it?

This is both sad and cute. I hope they meet again.

It's finally happening, I've been looking forward to this for several arcs. But I'm glad Kyoto arc happened first because this was fun and had some great characters introduced.

Tokiyuki and Kojiro are very cute together.

faceless shota

What the fuck is a mien?

When they meet again, it'll probably be as enemies, though, right? Cat's pretty much out of the bag now that he's fleeing Kyo in the same night Takauji suffered an assassination attempt.

The appearance, the visage.

Attempting to take back Kamakura and when Tokiyuki actually meets Takauji in history

I'm assuming Tokiyuki loses but its not the end of the rebellion in actual history?

Tokiyuki's rebellion and attack on Kamakura, more like a bunch of battles called the Nakasendai War/Rebellion (because this happens between the previous era of Hojo rule and that of Ashikaga rule).

Pretty much correct

>you shall alter the destiny of Japan
>no pressure

Ho?
Huuuuuuuh????

So more proof that the future doesn't change then. At least not as far as official history is concerned.

So what's Yoroshige's endgame? Is our current history actually an altered timeline that's way better than what we were supposed to get had Speedy not stepped up?

It's also an interesting way to phrase it given the future seeing. Maybe Yorishige saw some other future that Tokiyuki's actions had to change.

Hojo Hiroyuki

That's what I'm guessing now. Which is funny because the main thing Tokiyuki accomplished in 1335 was probably getting Takauji to turn on the emperor.

This is getting an English release right? I want all the volume extras.
