How does a kindle handle two page spreads for manga?

it's split them up

That's a shame

you can also rotate

Manga is meant to be read in double page style.

you mean gangnam-style

Get a 13.3" reader like the Boox Max.

>Not double page

Kindles are too small imo.
It doesn't, you have to flip the device and everything gets even smaller.

For me it paid off fairly well over the past two and a half years.
It entirely replaced my paper needs since it's not just a reader but can also be used to take notes.

just got a 6,8'' one for 120 euro , hoping I don't regret it, if manga doesn't read very well on it I'll at least use it for prose books and maybe it's what gets me into LNs and it'll pay off itself that way
I really want it to be a comfy way to read mango in bed tho so hopefully it fills that function

>(((amazon))) botnet
For me it's a chink e-reader with Android

>(((CCP))) botnet

I have 6'' and 6,8'' ,in 6 text is small sometimes, in 6'8 it's nearly perfect
Manga is made in 7,8'' btw.

13.3 sounds like a nightmare, I'm on a 10.1 tablet right now and even that is almost too big

yup, 6,8'' is good

It's roughly the size of A4 paper and it weighs less than a 10" LCD tablet.
I find it very comfortable to use, especially in landscape.

you're big LCD tablet.

too small for some text, and the zoom function isn't adequate

6'' is small yea

I read at my desk anyway, monitor is bigger, more user friendly and allows me to keep good posture
If i'm around and have to waste time i'll just buy Topolino

>single page
Manga is meant to be read with double page view. If you aren't reading like this you're reading manga the wrong way

>Manga is meant to be read with double page view
According to who?

The manga industry. When you hold a magazine you see two pages at once. Just like the position of the panels inside a page matter, so does the position of the pages. Good mangaka keep this in mind, if you're reading FotM romcoms then I guess single or double doesn't make a difference.
You literally won't be able to read most Tezuka works unless you read in double page view for example, he plays with it all the time.

you read one panel on one page, fucking monkey

Maybe if you're a bit slow in the head you do.
That, or you read webtoons with no panels at all.

For me, it's the iPad^TM mini.
Get a used ipad mini, it's good for reading manga and wanking off to doujinshi.

if you can get one of the 7.8 inch ereaders it actually is pretty good.

>single page
NGMI

>he fell for the paper screen meme

Enjoy your fucked color pages

Likebook P78 FTW

Mangaka who draw them? You don't actually read a manga like a word book with single pages do you? That's extremely stupid

>Post proof, not you unsolicited opinions.
Do you seriously not know how mangaka draw their manga?

For me it's my 10 years old Kindle DX.

Lol that page
Well good to know it's the same autists in these threads each time

Are you upset because I'm right? That's pretty pathetic

He probably wants something like this

So what's the best ereader that I can sideload tachiyomi onto.

You have no clue what the original book layout is, and putting your reader into double-page mode doesn't magically replicate the original magazine/volume experience. Raws/scanlators frequently leave out filler pages and/or insert credit pages that will alter the placement of pages.

You dipshits are reading double page views with the wrong left/right placement and jerking yourselves off thinking you're manga connoisseurs.

That's a pretty big strawman for someone with zero arguments to back it up.

What about reading the official digital versions?
And figuring out which side is left and right isn't hard.

Lmao how do so many people on this image board type these paragraphs and always end up saying nothing substantial.

Boox Max

The page of jujutsu kaisen I posted was from the official digital release and its clearly the correct way to read. What are you talking about

I won't dispute that. Shouen Jump actually does insert/remove a white page to maintain a double-spread layout that (I believe) matches the magazine. But Shonen Jump releases, what, 20 to 30 series? Out of thousands of manga?

The overwhelming majority of manga readers are reading from pirates sources that do NOT have that consistency. You have no clue whether the first page of a chapter was placed on the left or right when it was arranged for the magazine format.

If you download a digital volume and immediately flip it to double-spread mode, you've already fucked up. Do you really think the cover image counts as a page? Did the ripper leave in a white page after the cover, or did they trim it out? The left/right placement is already thrown off and don't pretend you know what it's supposed to be.

I kneel.

A real tablet where I can pinch zoom is the best imo. But I'm a blind mf.

Anybody else use AI upscaling to get the manga to the exact resolution of your ereader?
Shit looks so sharp

You can almost always immediately tell. If the art reaches the left edge of the page and there's a long blank area along the right edge then it's a left page and vice-versa.

You know you can offset a page at any time when using a decent reader, right?
You have to be genuinely retarded to not be able to tell which page is left or right.

Don't forget the most obvious tell, the page number.

Iphone

you do? can you post some pictures?

God, that new paperwhite is sexy af. Only thing I dislike is the smaller bezels.

You can adjust that user, but I hate that I have to.

If I wanted to look at oil paintings I'd rather go to an art gallery.

What ripper? I'm using official applications of ebook stores.
And other software will account for that as well.

Here's a quick example. Top two pages are misaligned, bottom two pages are correctly aligned.
In some magazines you'll also have extra stuff on the outside and almost every manga will begin on the left side.

Usually no white divider in the middle is my indication it's fucked up

Is this a new model? I like the kindle, it's just that the contrast isn't the best, but this one looks like deeper contrast.

I have to run all mine through some damn converter then I have to make it so it shows only one panel at a time. I find it worth the effort, but I wish there was an easier way.
