I think that "I fight to find my purpose" could fit him, I mean a lot has happening since he died. I wouldn’t have him die, just be near death. Piccolo takes Gohan and leaves him there, as do the humans. When he recovers, he finds Piccolo and Gohan, and Gohan attacks him in anger. Raditz defends himself and KO’s Gohan. Piccolo and Raditz discuss the Saiyans, and a “temporary” truce is formed. He trains with them, and develops a rivalry with Piccolo. This leads to them being stronger when Bejita and Nappa arrive, but Piccolo still sacrifices himself to save Gohan. This act of heroism inspires Raditz, who uses everything he has to hold off Nappa. When Goku arrives, Raditz is about to die, but has a quick back and forth with him. Realizing that Nappa has killed his friends, the reformed Piccolo and Raditz, and nearly killed Gohan and Krillin, Goku ends up killing him with a Kaioken Kamehameha. The fight between Goku and Bejita goes as it usually does. Raditz trains with King Kai and gets the Kaioken. He also trains with Piccolo, who is stronger when he arrives on Namek. Raditz is the last to be revived out of the group killed by Nappa. During the year of Goku’s absence, Raditz, Piccolo, and Gohan train, and once Goku comes back, the four of them train for the three year time skip. This means all of them are stronger, with Raditz on the verge of becoming Super Saiyan. Goku actually kills Android 19 in this version, due to his enhanced strength, but still succumbs to the heart virus. Raditz steps up during this time period, training as hard as he can, and eventually achieving Super Saiyan. He and Piccolo enter the Room of Spirit and Time, but he doesn’t master Super Saiyan. Instead of Bejita firing the blast at Cell, it’s Raditz. He masters Super Saiyan and achieves Super Saiyan 2 during the 7 year timeskip, and he also forces Gohan to keep up with training. Piccolo is stronger, too, as he, Raditz, Gohan, and Goten all train together. This makes Goten stronger, and as such, he beats Trunks in the Budokai.
