Bought this magazine out of morbid curiosity to see how shit it was, was pleasantly surprised.
Sure, I disagree on what they consider "essential", but they get a lot of other important shit right, like anime's history and the fact that Castlevania is not anime.
I read that magazine for the same reason I watched Netflix's "documentary" on anime. If some giant company's going to misrepresent my favorite medium to a potentially huge audience, I wanna know about it.
