Was there a website that redirect the way to other point or maybe you heard it from other people who spread it to other people? All the record around 90s are ver rare due to the fact that nobody try to archive everything like Internet Archive yet. So many history been lost in time...

To be fair to these people access to anime was very limited at the time. All they had access to was popular shit like Sailor Moon or Ranma on television and tv anime was the hub of "cute" anime because it was entertainment for the family.
How were they supposed to that while they were complainig Manly Epic shit like Genocyber just dropped and other countless manly epic sci-fi ovas with high production values were coming out every season?

They also had no idea abou the peril of digital anime creeping in on them and that what was once fun for the family like sailor moon will soon be replaced with waves of basterdised moeshit for neckbeards that will never end.

That is also true. They knew how to blend both aspects better, at least in my opinion. I admit that I could be just biased, though.
There are still some series that pull it off, though. The grills in Princess Connect are pretty great, and even the ones in lower budget stuff like Back Arrow had that.

We used to trade VHS with each other irl. Most people that were into anime had some form of network of real life friends or connections with the same interest. And they often gave you tips about communities and forums online.
