Out Volume 22

I love this manga

The current feud needs to fucking end already.

It's part of the appeal for me. Endless characters popping up from the past with a dramatic flashback.
At this point I guess the real boss will be the 5th gen guy who recently got out of juvie and is spectating the massacre.

It's basically the majority of the story at this point so that would probably just be the end.

Where are my Out bros at? It's been a long time.

>yeah bro, I tried to attack you while you're fighting for your life even though you've been my friend since I first moved to this town because ... a girl asked me to!

wtf is this stupid shit

Man I felt really bad for Arashi and Furin

Who team 7th here???

>"Fuck anyone who isn't us"
-a real nigga

the 6th are a bunch of cucks.

There's so much happening I can't keep up with who exactly is who but I don't want to reread the entire thing before junkyard Namek is over.

It gets even worse once you add in Bouncer and suddenly a ton of crossover shit happening.

Agreed. Although I do like the general ambiguity he adds to the events.

So let me get this straight, this is the order of the events correct
>6th generation has ties with Ahmed
>Arashi finds out accidentally
>6th generation kills Arashi (causing the beginning of Keigo's character journey)
>Arashi is the only one keeping Jousuke grounded
>Jousuke goes bonkers, ends up killing a core 6th generation member (whose attack was thwarted solely by the head of the 7th generation)
>6th generation kills Jousuke
>7th generation head plots against the 6th in revenge and has them locked up
>6th generation eventually come out leading to the current events in the story

Reading the new chapters and holy shit the nerd with glasses is such a piece of shit.

the only plotline I feel bothered about not remembering is the buried data plot and that guy in a mask/bandanna who's driving a truck to escape with the data.

otherwise I'm happy with my model of the story being : 6th gen bad, 7th gen good

Atchan being so strong is such BS. I wouldn't mind it if this was a less realistic manga, but we got to see how MC and the old man worked their asses off to bulk up.

I think they just recently tried to increase arashi's importance in the manga via flashback because earlier it was shown that the 6th were already plotting to take out jousuke while arashi was alive because jousuke was already "too extreme"

so even if jousuke did become more wild after arashi disappeared, the 6th were already plotting to kill or betray him because jousuke was already too wild for them.

He fights to kill. It makes a world of a difference.

I like Kai. Sure he's a vermin but he's a great character.

>you can't just treat outsiders as your enemy noooooooo

Did you forget Nikaku literally tying people's limbs?

I like Kaname and Kai the most.

his "clever plans" and ability to predict exactly what everyone else is going to do feel a little bit bullshit though. it doesn't detract too badly but it makes you role your eyes when you read something and yet again kilihito's plans are foiled because Kai predicted what they were going to do.

I almost didn't recognize the protagonist when he showed up again.

Well he doesn't exactly have competition. I find his personality really entertaining, cowardly and frail but ruthless and with balls of steel at the same time.
He's constantly living under the menace of Yoshiki, a dear friend, finding out any of the bullshit he ever pulled and ending him.

the simping over the baddest guy's sister is the most retarded shit ever

I miss this madman so much

>6th gen bad
No

yes. 6th gen are cucks and traitors. jousuke and the 7th gen are real niggas. I'm glad most of the 6th gen are dead by now.

Everyone is a piece of shit, that's the point

I feel like this whole manga is like a child fantasising how being in a gang feels like.

Based fellow Chadguchi bro.
There's no objective right or wrong in this situation. Literally even Atchan admits it was a good thing that they killed Jousuke. His reasons for fucking them over after was selfish just like their entire crusade now.

be careful, if you keep up with that talk you'll really be...
Out.

He only needs a funny hat and fan to be completed character.

Its a delinquent manga, what do you expect? You want a more realistic manga about the same subject, read Bakuon Rettou.

After seeing the guy in a dress using a stuffed cat doll as a weapon I also started kind of questioning the realism of the manga.

Flip and Flap were cool tho

>guy in a dress
Use her fucking pronouns.

Not the 10 foot guy with the helmet thing?

Not Nikaku being as wide as tall?

The power of year long SS + GOMAD

If the guy had a beard he could pass off as a Middle Earth dwarf with those guns.

I dropped this way back during park flashback namek, seeing as this thread is full of references to multiple flashback namek I'm not very inclined to pick it up again.
It started pretty nice and comfy but i guess it just became a huge convoluted mess

At the end of the day, that's what all delinquent manga come down to. It's just cool to see a bunch of young dudes rebelling against societal norms.

What I like about Out personally is that it addresses that many of these stories don't have a happy end. I forgot the exact chapter but it was established early on that many people who get involved with delinquency when they're young usually end up becoming full time gangsters. Popular delinquent manga like Worst and Crows usually give a copout where we see hopeless youth somehow become teachers and the like after graduating.
Which is what Tatsuya's biggest struggle early on was. He already got a taste of the wrong side of the law and I liked how he was stuck in wanting to live a clean life while naturally getting drawn to his previous one. Now he's picked his side but I doubt the writer will have him face the natural consequences for it.

It's better as one coherent read than something to read chapter by chapter.

Another thing that gets stressed is the point of no return. It's part of the reason people in out always try to escalate the violance to heigh from which you can't come back from. As a sign of commitment.

One of my favorite parts of the manga is when the artists draws these huge pupils to emphasize when a character says/does something psychotic.

What I really enjoy seeing is characters just shooting the shit and spending time with each other between the fights. It's very comfy.

it's good shit

Is the shitty swordsman flashback over

Yes.
Nowadays he is, but him killing Arashi was a great idea because Arashi would have absolutely found some way to weasel out of being blackmailed by the 6th gen. For the first time in his life, Kai was actually the MVP that chapter. Even though he's fucked up basically everything else he's ever done. He's as useless as Yoshiki in that regard.
Don't be. There's not much too remember because we don't know what the fuck it's about. For all we know it might actually tie into Bouncer's B-Data bullshit.
Every time I have to translate this, a little piece of me dies.

>Every time I have to translate this, a little piece of me dies.
Elaborate

What's the matter, out of the loop?

The only good character along facemask.

It's the name of the series so I can't very well -not- use it, but it feels hokier every time.

The author loves his 'twists' so much it's a running joke and I love it.

>mc gets cucked out of being the mc

Fuck this series.

Based taste. Bakuon Rettou is the best delinquent manga out there.

It honestly feels like the HxH of delinquent manga, except the writing isn't smart and the delinquent aspects are lacking the charm that the genre typically has

I had the same thought. It trades charm for plot, even though it's been going overboard (by Japanese standards) in recent times. But I really don't need another RokuBlues/Crows/Bebop High School/Etc. Most of those are interchangeable.

Pretty much. The bait and switch on Arashi's death was awesome

Its charm is being miles more brutal than the average delinquent manga
