At this point in the story beef is a big deal. Shamiko is still fairly poor, mazokus eat rice and beans sprouts every meal. The idea of eating beef is so unbelievable that they think Momo is only allowing them to gaze upon the beef. It's way too high class for a normal Mazoku

Was S1 this fast? I don't remember. Even the characters are speed talking a lot.

They cut a chapter in half at the end of last season. So this episode was actually three chapters. An episode is normally two chapters.

3 chapters for a couple reasons

1. Half of the first chapter of volume 3 was adapted last season
2. Will let them pace themselves so 36+37 and 38+39 can both be individual episodes instead of trying to stretch one out or make one shorter

This episode was way too fast, even by this show's standards. Didn't really give any time for the jokes to breathe and also just bulldozed through Shamiko and Monmo's date, which is a bit of a shame. They're probably going to slow down a bit from the second episode forwards, this episode just really wanted to set everything up with them being neighbors. On the plus side, Momo and Shamiko's voices are as perfect as ever.
