Such a cozy slice of life I've been missing lately and none of that highschool bullshit. It's fun to see characters truly understanding and learning from one another. They have their rough edges and obsessions, but still care deeply about each other.
The on grudge I have for it is the hopeless, forfeiting attitude to Japanese work culture. It's nice everyone is finding their place in society and still finding time for new experiences, but it's crippling how they treat their working conditions as something that god dictated and can not be changed.
Like this but without the expansion part, they just change color.

Great series, funny easy watch. I'm odd for preferring s2 over s1 and no, not for iruru but it was more exciting. People say it's strengths are when it's being a tried and true sol with magic elements. And while I agree, I'd be lying if I said the higher stakes episodes didn't keep me on the edge of my seat.

>It's nice everyone is finding their place in society and still finding time for new experiences, but it's crippling how they treat their working conditions as something that god dictated and can not be changed. Take that as a sign to not be an office salary man, instead be a maid. Or be like fafnir and leech off your friend.

I also like it when it gets "battle-seinen" from time to time, that's why I wish for a continuation because it will adapt Kanna's arc AKA the Dragon Ball arc.
>that's why I wish for a continuation because it will adapt Kanna's arc AKA the Dragon Ball arc. Not even a shounen-shitter but I need to start reading the parts after the show if this is the case. The fights in this series were so good. It wasn't just because of the funny juxtaposition between sol scenes and these huge fights, but they're actually really well animated and the blows characters exchange have weight behind them. I'm sure most of the budget went into those fights.
That being said my all time favorite episode, if not the fight with Tohru's dad, is the episode where Kanna goes to New York.
All except Kanna's seem to be on hiatus, and Kanna's is about 40 chapters behind, so it will take its sweet time to catch up.

Kanna's arc contains at least a couple of fights that I'd love to see animated. Unless the dodgeball episode counts, we've only really had 1v1 fights so far so I'd look forward to the Fafnir and Elma teamup. If I remember correctly, Kanna got the only anime-original 'chapter' as well as the season 2 OVA so KyoAni know she's popular. We can only hope.
I can only dream that we'll see that getting animated someday. And if by some miracle we do see Kobayashi getting more animated content, it'd probably be more shorts.
