Zero manga is better. Art is nice, graphic torture of children and lots of scenes nude little Sakura in the worm pit. You even get an entire page depicting her deflowering with a beautifully drawn body and expression and toe curles. You also get fantastic ire nude scenes although those just make me want to hug her.

Unfortunately Eng translation stop midway through the story and all raw aggregator also miss 2 volumes of the latter half for some reason.

I'd really love to see more cute kuro art.

I know nothing about fate or the rest of the series and feel like I would have no problem watching illya. Right now my entire knowledge of the series is based of doujins and webms I've seen here so I have high hopes.

It works as a stand-alone story but it also expects that you're familiar with the source material and part of the appeal is in how it plays with it, for example this scene at the end of the first chapter is spoofing the iconic scene where Shirou summons Saber in Fate/Stay Night
As the story goes on the plot becomes thicker and it starts to pull from more obscure Fate stuff and the broader Nasuverse - again it's a standalone story so it shouldn't be confusing or anything, but the significance and weight of a lot of details would probably be lost on you.
