-The studio Ajia-do is fairly new but their recent shows have looked pretty polished (Isekai Maou, Ascendence of Bookworm). They're also making the Kakushigoto TV anime and the trailer looks decent too youtube.com/watch?v=e7MX-AM_zaQ. We should wait to see who the animation staff are but I doubt it'll be bad, I bet Square Enix will push the anime hard as a new flagship shounen.

-Regarding the director, I wouldn't be worried, he's had lots of experience with children's shows and also directing shounen anime movies, so he understands how to make appealing anime. Izetta was overall meh but it was an original anime and was written by the same dude who wrote other mediocre trainwreck shows like Guilty Crown and Vividred. The manga literally lays out everything for the director and I'm sure he'll do his best to adapt it well.

kabane is half human and severely socially stunted. Ghouls don't necessarily care for that and it's clear in every scene he interacts with the opposite sex that his mind is either incapable, or too ignorant to process sexuality.

Calling him pure was a poor choice of words. Kabane is completely ignorant of almost everything that surrounds him because he was raised like a machine. He doesn't have lewd thoughts simply because the concept of sexuality doesn't exist in his brain.

It's also worth noting that he is a child, he is 13(ish?), even if he was a normal human, he wouldn't necessarily be at the age where he likes girls or akira. I don't think he would have lewd thoughts, but i think he would have the capacity of being attracted to people, and of having lewd thoughts. He is socially stunted, not brain damaged. Now if Ghouls do not have any interest in sexual relationships then that's another issue entirely, but i don't think that has been established, and since Kabane supposedly had parents, it's unlikely that that is the case, especially since he is a hybrid, unless the human parent raped the ghoul parent.
tl;dr: it is my professional opinion that with the proper training and counseling Kabane would totally fuck Kon, Akira's, and maybe even Shiki's brains out willingly with his huge ghoul cock. Thankfully for him, they have a super vampire living in the house who probably has plenty of knowledge about sexual relationships, and has probably a couple of phds in psychotherapy.

what was bad about the VR training session? felt pretty comfy to me

In a world of magical creatures and supernatural stuff. The idea that some kid trained his power in a back room using VR just didn't work for me. It was a bit too ludicrous a development especially when Kabane was doing irl training and so was Akira apparently. I mean, it sets up the hacker and gives spiderbro and Mikhai a relaionship but I'd have preferred if Mikhai just took him out to a back alley and flexed his vampiric muscles or something.

I guess to put it in words, the training via computer felt like a joke to me.

You're just being unfair, these kids use human's technologies in their daily life too. And Mihai the vampire was established as a hacker since the beginning. Shiki needed to train his situation analyzing and problem solving skills, not physical training, and Mihai provided him with a VR game with insanely hard challenge right off the bat was actually a neat way to do so.

And actually almost all kemono so far blends in and coexists with modern human's civilization pretty nicely too. Isn't this coexisting one of the major point of the story?

Depends if the adaptation is good.

Kimetsu no Yaiba shows even the most generic premise can be boosted with good production values, translating to manga sales. Any publisher trying to get away with a low effort adaptation for their shounen manga would have to be delusional. Throwing money at Ufotable lead to KnY beating One Piece in sales, that should really be a paradigm shift.

Admittedly, KnY was also a passion project for Ufo (or at least that's what i've heard), i think that matters too.

My point is I would argue that no adaptation is better than a bad adaptation. Anime do just exist as commercials for the franchise as a whole but the "do the bare minimum" approach seems outdated now. If something like Black Clover wasn't stuck in Pierrot hell it might have gotten somewhere.

I agree for the most part, but sometimes even a shitty adaptation can help (like in World Trigger's case). Personally though, as a fan, i'd usually prefer no adaptation over a shitty one, true
