This anime was so fucking good I cannot believe is not more popular, I call it the School Rumble killer. This is a series that could continue forever, that's what happend when you have such a rich cast of characters, really happy news and my only concern would be the change of times, this series setting is in the late 90s, will the author go full Detective Conan? Will there be a timeskip? Or will they simply stay on the 90s world? But most importantly, will any TL group pick it up??? Can't wait.

I liked the anime before picking up the manga, and when I started reading it I saw how inferior the adaptation is.
I suppose there will be a time skip to fit in with the current era. To be honest I don't know what else there is to tell though, not that I complain for a sequel, but I wonder what will it be centered around, if the usual shenanigans or a grown up Ran and new stories.

I am not familiar with later gyaru, Gals! is simply a shoujo manga, so targeted at girls, where instead of the usual high school setting with a plain looking heroine and the boy she has a crush on, the story focuses on three gyaru friends that hang out on Shibuya and sometimes fight with gals coming from other areas of Tokyo - mainly Ikebukuro.
