Is Naruto an objectively bad anime? I've heard people say it's great, and other people say it's bad...

It’s objectively average. I thought it had good action sequences, ideas, and characters but the pacing and ass-pullery ruined most of it. It was good until the mangekyou became a thing, then the power creep happened to adapt to it. Tons of waifus though, that’s for sure.

It has cool fights and characters but it is cursed with bad writing and powercreep

The first series is good and if you disagree you're a contrarian. Shippuden is good but gets irredeemably bad after Pain.

Like most shoen it fell apart completely following the time skip. The fights where at least satisfying.

Watch the anime with filler for full experience. Mangafags shit on it because they hate fun, and are enraged that it makes fanfic squad teams in filler that work 1000x better than the main teams, and show off other sensei that show what a shit sensei kek really was.

Naruto is a gateway anime of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and DARKNESS.

The normal user can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.

However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable underageb& faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The superpowered characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the jutsus, peculiar, colorful clothes, the whole ninja faggotry and everything about the Naruto world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on revenge, and overall preachiness of the series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes little kiddies and underageb& retards eat this shit right the fuck up.

Naruto is basically THE series to attract the most hated anime fanbase known to Yea Forums, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every user to troll the fuck out of this show and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no Naruto threads ever encourage the newfriends to show their faces here.

It's bad overall because the writing is mostly bad. There are moments of unironic greatness which is why some people will say it's great but if you look at the series overall the only reasonable conclusion you can come to is that it's not good and I say this as someone who watched Naruto as an adult and unironically liked it

As a story told over a decade it is pretty good.
As a binge watch it can fluctuate like crazy and is held back by that.
Devastating ammount of filler during broadcast but now that it's all out the filler actually adds to the charm of the show, as it did great work fleshing out lesser characters and had genuinely interesting plots.
The anime has an amazing soundtrack.
I don't think you could give it an objective score below 6/10 but I think 8/10 is the max an honest person would go.
I will say that as an anime adaptation of a manga, the Naruto anime Is basically a masterpiece. It is the best manga adaptation I have ever seen and Pierot has a great sense of when they really need to step up and splurge spending some budget on important moments.

No. No amount of copypasta can make it objectively bad. Naruto is a series of incredible HIGHS and terrible lows. It is not however, objectively bad.

Pre shippuden Naruto was definitely good. Zabusa's and Haku's death was amazing. It had great music, Interesting characters with awesome motives. It was gritty and bloody with a bit of edgyness (cough Sasuke and Gaara) but overall ALOT better than fucking Boruto by far. It was great for what it was.....until shippuden happened. Shippuden was fun all the way until after pain. After Pain the series gets ludicrous with garbage like Naruto being Ninja jesus (One of the two sibling reincarnations of THE MOTHERFUCKING SAGE OF THE MOTHERFUCKING SICK PATHS BRO, THATS LITERALLY LIKE IF MIDORIYA WAS ONE OF JESUS'S SONS LOL, LIKE IT'S OK FOR HIM TO HAVE THE STRONGGEST TAILED BEAST, IT'S FINE FOR HIM FOR HIS DAD TO BE A PAST HOKAGE, IT'S FINE FOR HIM FOR HIS TEACHER TO BE A LEGENDARY SANIN BUT THE REINCARNATION SHIT WAS WAY TOO FAR) Naruto reviving Might Gai was pure trash and ruined his final moment of handing the torch to Rock Lee. Gai was ready to sacrifice everything to save the world and his moment of glory was stolen by Naruto ass. Now his crippled ass is in a wheelchair waiting to die. Sasuke and Naruto being way more OP than his classmates, barely any interactions between the mothafuckas. and the biggest sin of the entire series...when Naruto calls the man who's responsible for the death of his parents and the deaths of countless innocents in the leaf village "the coolest guy ever" for being a good goy at the end. Bwahaha. That single handlely pissed off countless of people. Also the war arc was trash, wasn't it like a year of filler man? Besides alot of GLARINGLY FRUSTRATING MOMENTS....overall the punchy and kickyy scenes were greato. 6-7/10

Drops off really hard after the Chunin exams so be prepared for that. Afterwards it plateaus into mediocrity with occasional quality spikes, but if you make it that far you might as well finish Naruto and decide if Shippuden is worth it. Most people who say Naruto is anything special are heavily biased in nostalgia or have never watched of actual substance. So I mean if you have the time to sink into it sure, otherwise just watch any other coming of age special snowflake shonen
