It's kind of a shitty romance. Guy has feelings for his teacher, Teach is feeling down in life and is just appreciative of being shown some attention. It doesn't even end with a proper conclusion of them dating. Where's the romance in that? Yes the cake "won" but there wasn't any real competition and no real prize.
