ITT: Anime you've cried to and you don't regret a fucking thing

How can one character who's in only 8 episodes be singlehandedly better than the roster of shounen that have like 300??

Because battle shounen is soulless crap created exclusively to pay bills while TTGL was a ripoff of some of the greatest series ever created full of love of said series.

Why would you regret crying to anime?
Why would you expect shounen to have well written characters?

Just want to post this

A Place Further than the Universe.

Anime graduation ceremonies always make me cry, and I haven't shed a single tear over my own one. No regrets.

cry somemore fag

That's because anime graduations typically mean something.

What's the difference between a ripoff and an homage? TTGL was basically a love letter to Getter, Mazinger, Gunbuster, etc. I don't think there was any point where it was trying to pass itself off as a unique thing.

>I don't think there was any point where it was trying to pass itself off as a unique thing.
It only works when the audience has seen the show it was paying homage too. I bet many people praising TTGL haven't seen any of them, with the possible exception of Gun/Diebuster

The actual difference? Fans detest the former and defend the latter. Content-wise there is no difference.

My nigga, fuck i miss them

Clannad Afterstory. I already knew about the big spoiler, but the fact that it all goes on and everything is just a lingering sadness.

TTGL I was not spoiled on at all, but the action scenes and big-ass events still served as a moving point forward, even though a chunk of my love for it slowly drained out from Episode 9 onwards.

It's not fair, bros.
I still miss her.

I cried to this yesterday.

Because TTGL takes cues from some of the greatest franchises out there, particularily GunBuster and Getter Robo. And Kamina is just a fucking god tier protag, the perfect hypeman that you just can't help but root for no matter the odds

Narihisago's voice actor deserves a fucking medal

If you didn't cry at this part or at least felt as if someone choked your heart, you probably weren't paying attention.

This show regularly makes me cry, but holy fuck, this goddamned abandoned sandal story hit me like a sack of bricks hitting a sack of kittens.
