I rather get 1,000,000 more garbage isekais than another garbage harem.

Anime originals or manga adaptations. LN and VN adaptations were and are almost always shit

Harem adaptations do not work. I have no idea why harem anime is even a thing when, by design, it is inferior to visual novels. At least LNs and anime are both linear mediums, so they actually have a chance of adapting well.

There were some fucking weird harem VNs. I'd rather see some of those get adapted than any light novel, no matter how decent.

Which ones?

VN adaptions always suffered because of the inherent problem of how to adapt several diverging storylines in one continuous work. There are several alternatives, and they all have major problems.
1) End the anime before the divergence, showing only the common route
2) Follow only one route
3) Mash all/several of the routes, or elements from all/several of the routes, together into one story
4) Start with any of the above, then create an original ending
5) Adapt a route then reset the story, adapt next route, repeat until done.
Add in stuff like enforced route order, true route only unlocking after having read X amount of the VN, bad/neutral/good/joke ends, routes having completely different tonal directions or themes, and it's a wonder VN adaptions continued to be a thing for as long as they did. Light novel (and manga) adaptions definitely suffer much less storywise, since they are already linear.
On the other hand, VNs do have some advantages: the OST can be carried over, VAs can be carried over, character designs from sprites can be carried over. The jump from kinetic novel to anime should have been relatively smooth, but we all know it was far from so for various reasons.

I always thought it was funny how in Shuffle Primula's route was locked until you played through Nerine's. Sorry, before you can fuck the loli you have to fuck the biggest tittymonster.

Is the VN better than the anime?

Yes, its funnier and since it doesnt condense entire routes in one episode pretty much every route is worth doing.

Its also funnier as the Anime have that "00's comedy" that if you see it once, you see it all ... also not as loldrama as the anime.

I barely remember it but I think I enjoyed most of the routes (I played the original version with only five routes). I remember finding Sia very cute.

This, unless its one of the VN that pretty much is linear (like F/SN) it became a headache and will piss the people that watch then that are the VN fans.
I guess thats one of the reasons they pretty much vanished as they really dont work with a media change.

I just want an anime adaptation of AoiShiro, but that's never going to happen because the company that released it is defunct as best I can tell.

Are there current LN adaptations that aren't isekais?

Manga's always better though.

Railgun, Boogiepop

Harems all the way. That harem adaptation art style is what got me into anime in the first place and I will always love it despite how much it gets shit on here.

I want harem VN adaption to be back. I started watching anime and liking romcoms thanks to Shuffle anyway.

some of the best animes are vn adaptations
>clannad after
>white album 2
>yosuga no sora

Never undestood why Vn/Eroges are better in romance than most anime/manga, they fail so bad.

they are better at romance because characters are allowed and even expected to fuck so they don't get stuck having to cockblock and drag things out before it gets to that point.

What about harem isekai?

Even worst
