the most likely scenerio to me is similiar to what happened when a girl, in elementary school, who talked with me and kicked me in the balls, asked me out; a desire to "try it out"
we already know kamijou would accept any romantic advance, but we also know he values mikoto as a friend. as such the most likely scenerio is him giving it a shot/trying it out with dates

This franchise can last as long as he wants it to. If he gets bored of Touma, Accelerator and Hamazura, he can give them their happy ends and continue the franchise with their children. Or can simply drag the series out by further reducing how much current timeline time passes AND doing flashback/what happened this day from another character's PoV novels
