With foreknowledge of what's coming you could probably stop the Akatsuki and Madara/Obito's plans really early and prevent to 4th World War from even happening.

Shirou's life beyond Fate route is too fragmented since we only knew bits about his future, the general power structure of the Clock Tower, and the traits of some of its prominent mages which is just borrowed from FGO timeline and would be different on the Fate Route timeline, not to mention unlike the first 3, Shirou natural full potential is not that good compared to others, adding the fact that many of the mages are potential dangers since most of them are psychopaths. While unlike Issei, I don't have the plot armor to give that super dragon arm which is one of the strongest item in the whole fucking universe and having an evergrowing harem of superpowered girls that will be always there to reliably protect me.

If you insist on writing a hypothetical what-if scenario aiming for the best ending, then Naofumi would have to somewhat commune with Shield's spirit and said spirit would need to mediate between Naofumi, Aultcray and spirit of the staff. If it works out, Aultcray comes to understand his wrongdoings on the first day and together with Naofumi plots to save the world without the Malty's and pope's knowledge. That is riskier than just going with the flow but potentially will save more people.

The difficulty level was not fixed though, it can be tweaked with spesific actions before the plot began.
For example, as Ichigo by saving Masaki would make future hazy. Even with meta knowledge, the unpredictable factor alone would elevate it to very hard or at least hard.
With Emiya Shirou, if you could convince Kiritsugu to leave his legacy, your future training will be much smoother and effective, reducing the difficulty by a level or more.

I'd go with Shirou if it was post-fire, since actually surviving that shit is not a given. It would be interesting to tell THE RED MAN that you aren't actually him at all and instead got Isekai'd. Knowing you have Avalon, the other heroes identities, their owners, and not being an ultimate moralfag would probably make the grail war a lot more of a smooth sail than any routes.

But even if it was not, just by giving (you) the proper direction in magecraft would still make a lot of things better. For one, even as a third rate you would be able to properly summon saber even with the most simple ritual (since the important catalyst is in you), and she would not be gimped by mana connection issue. It's optional, but you can immediately power her up by transfering avalon to her, then even in the first meeting with Berserker there wouldn't be a serious trouble.

Cell in DB showed up from timeline number 3 (technically 4).
1. Goku dies of heart disease, everything goes shit, Androids are evil. Trunks goes back in time. and "fixes" one timeline.
2. Trunks is back in the future and gets killed by Cell who hatched because there's no Androids anymore after Trunks killed them after coming back, Cell takes his time machine and goes back in time
3. Trunks doesn't get killed yet, goes back in time to a time where Cell also is and where the divergencies in time have become egregious (Cell is here twice, Androids 16, 17 and 18 are more neutral than anything, more Androids, etc.) (our Timeline)
4. Trunks goes back to the future before he gets killed by Cell, kills Androids, stops Cell from killing him.

Because time in DB is fucked, it wouldn't matter if you killed your Cell, either fully formed or as an Embryo- he could still show up from another time line as soon as he has use of a timemachine. You can basically only be safe as soon as his time to go back in time has passed, the Androids are dead and he hasn't shown up yet.

But yeah, you should be able to beat Cell easily. Especially if there's no retarded hyper cocky Veggie. Goku has a fight boner, but not even he is as bad at reigning it in.

Really, the only two things I could regret in my new timeline would be that Trunks was never born and Kuririn never hooked up with 18. These things could be avoided by sticking to the original plot but I doubt I would have that strong will and guts to risk everything for them.
