With this method of observation, the natural colors of different minerals are not (usually) visible, but the color is determined by how much the mineral bends light that goes through it. Right: You can see the crystals are larger, which means the rock cooled down slowly before crystallization, making it intrusive igneous, and can even tell something about the minerals' order of crystallization. Its classification is close to granite, as quartz + plagioclase + K-feldspar are present, and hornblende + biotite are common accessory minerals. Note that quartz is pure SiO2 and K-feldspar's SiO2 content is also higher than that of plagioclase, so this is the rock with 65% silica.

The thing about this show is that, while Anima Yell also felt cliched and cookie-cutter, the characters actually did feel like characters. And at times that show tried doing some things different. Koisuru Asteroid is such a cliched show that it's almost like the writing stuff have a checklist of cliches that they have to follow and have a quota that requires this much cliches per episode.

The shot where they went onto the roof and showed Sirius and Procyon rising was the most accurate.
Pic related was main shot though. It's accurate, although presented a little differently than I expected. This is an extremely wide field of view, all the way from Ursa Major on the left to the faint stars of Lepus on the right, and introduces some distortion. The visual angular distance between Talitha and Castor should be no greater than between Castor and Tejat, for example.
Speaking of Tejat, this is one of the more revealing errors I've seen in this show. Tejat should be noticeably brighter than Mebsuta to the left, but it's not. If they're using planetarium software to just batch translate the stars onto the screen, this error doesn't seem like it would have been made. So there's likely a human making decisions about the sky details in the background.

Since it's mostly about their characters and how they all have different dreams going in different directions. I've liked astronomy since forever, but if KoiAsu were just the parts with astronomy except with double the screen time I wouldn't find it as interesting, unlike a full scale astronomy club anime where they'd get way more into the subject and have the girls actively try to research asteroids
