The "twist" was in episode 10. If you expected something more than that you were deluding yourself.

How was that a twist? That was massively foreshadowed. The one thing you could maybe call a twist is Anna actually getting erased.

That's why I used quotes. It's the "twist" part of the kishoutenketsu narrative at least.

Putting a twist just for the sake of it is a good way of ruining your story.

No, you put a twist for the sake of having a good story. This way they simply got a very predictable story.

A natural conclusion/outcome to a setup does not twist anything.
Like the fucking Aliens in Darlifra were a twist, APE not being entirely human wasn't
Or from this season Astra's maincast not being from Earth was a twist.

Wonder how these shows keep getting made when they all flop. It's not like they make bank on streaming or merch either.

It may have been predictable as hell but it still recontextualizes our perception of the events that preceded it and is thus a twist. The others you mention simply had less, no, or more clever foreshadowing.
