Several series will be releasing tomorrow or later this week, it's time for one last look at the Pripri projections. Note the sudden rise in Astra's numbers compared to last week.
Forgot to include: >15 pt Business Fish However, that doesn't come out until December, and I think it's a low-budget short so sales probably don't matter to it at all.
Ah I see. We got hit with censor lightbeams bad so maybe it'll be incentive for BD purchases. At least Takagi-San seems to be doing great!

Western streaming makes studios a pittance
Isaiah Ramirez
Bad animation Bad pacing Bad story Little character development for anyone not named Latina Too much Latina Dale was annoying They didn't even fight a demon lord
Jaxon Thompson
>Too much Latina no such thing
Matthew Morgan
The show was basically "watch Latina act cute: the anime" and lacked substance other than that. Perhaps the shallowest full series of the season.
Charles Long
Nice e-celeb opinion, it's good enough that they fund series themselves.
Luke Phillips
Araburu that low? This was genuinely pretty good. I don't understand.
Jacob Barnes
I want Machikado to get a sequel the most. The best comedy and cuteness + the plot and lore are just starting to blossom.
>4,062 pt Dumbbell Season 2 please, thank you >3,902 pt Machikado Most surprising success this season. It's really low budget and the voice acting sounds very low energy and off in some parts. Not complaining though
>Considering how nonexistent viewers are for the show it's surprising it's not on the very bottom - Small studio - low marketing budget - Mecha and Orginal still doing better than seven series
Jace Hill
>Probably the biggest disappointment on the list. It deserves higher than that. I agree with you but it's doing better than I thought.
David Nelson
Pretty good for short time anime
Caleb Barnes
It had a lot of big names behind it. It's still a flop considering the production budget.
James Lewis
The central thesis of the show is shaming the notion of a purity-based culture that Japan has had hardwired into their mainframe for nearly a millennia. I'd say considering how much of a fuck you it is to the establishment it's doing okay.
Brayden Jenkins
Is Seven even on any committees other than Try Knights this season? Not hard to do better than the worst show of the year.
Dominic Ramirez
But it has Okada
Connor Morgan
>It had a lot of big names behind it. It's still a flop considering the production budget. People tend to judge the book by cover Right? In anime, they tend to look at Category first, then studio, then actress or actors, then staff. I only decided to watched that anime because I'm one of people who don't CARE about category and the studio,,,
Austin Jones
seven mean number. not name.
William Morgan
Oh, that's absolutely fair. I can't believe that my first thought was about a 5th rate studio rather than the fucking number.
Aaron Gomez
Why is Vinland Saga flopping in Japan but is popular in America?
>symphogear finally where it belongs rejoice for nana wills it
Charles Rodriguez
What is the surprise flop of the season?
Henry Hill
Fire Force
Samuel King
hardly a surprise when it's obviously cursed
Tyler Long
We had a sales thread like a few days ago and it barely changed. Is making these threads just an excuse for symphoshit fans to jerk themselves off or to shit on stone/vinland fags? Also where is Kimetsu no Yaiba?
>KyoAni fire >Promare - Similar premise (firefighters vs fire people) but better Also the show generally blows. I thought KnY was generic until I gave Fire Force a shot.
Luis Edwards
You can be sure that whenever a sales thread appears there's always an agenda behind it that it's made to self-congratulate the fanbase for favoring the shows on top. Every person in these threads who fanboys the top-sellers who had their ego stroked pretended not to feel prideful and empowered as their favorite pick sells more CDs over these "unpopular, unprofitable, unbandwagoned shows", but we all know that's all what they want.
Ethan Torres
chinese streaming makes bank though
Dylan Adams
>Fucked Broly >Potentially Fucked a Persona protag >Symphogear on top Holy fucking based, Nana wills it. Holy fucking based
Grayson Stewart
Chink streaming is the opposite of that. And so is Netflix when it wants to be.
Logan Evans
NANA WILLS IT
Hudson Walker
>Stone keeps rising Luckily it's 2 cour so we have time >chipping away at progress Very poethic
Cameron Morris
>Luckily it's 2 cour so we have time For what? It's going on sale this week, first volume isn't going to magically raise.
Adam Barnes
There'll be some fighting in the next few eps, that will attract some people and you can't just buy the 2nd cd if you're into a series. You buy it all
Tyler Edwards
>9,293 pt Symphogear As expected of anime of the decade.
No event ticket even. If there has been another live that number would have doubled.
Jack Cooper
Takagi's real sales number is out, the discs were release last week. BD+DVD total is 2871. The prediction is overestimated. 3 Psycho pass movies sold around 9.5k each. yaraon-blog.com/archives/159004
Levi Williams
Based.
Joseph Smith
aaaaaaaa its so good
Noah Gomez
Ganbare, Shamiko!!
Julian Scott
I'm on ep 5 of S1 I'm not sure if I'll be on time for the finale
Hunter Ward
Shitland fags deserved it for how snobby and pretentious they act over their less than mediocre show.
Lincoln James
The insert songs are what's making bank, t-they weren't planning on selling any BDs in the first place.
If they actually thought it would sell BDs, they were delusional. It is not a show that would become popular.
Alexander Johnson
I thought shounen jump shows didn’t rely the same on BDs as late-night anime does.
Josiah Fisher
>376 pt Vinland Saga omg yikes..
why do people not like this?
Dominic Martinez
Outside of the gorgeous art and decent/good directing, Thorfinn's been an insufferable cunt (I like the rest of the cast though) so far and all of the action scenes are cheesy shounen that clashes with the semi-realism the non-action scenes are aiming for.
Jose Garcia
Retarded poster
Easton Adams
>413 pt Araburu
Cockhungry sluts BTFO !!!!!!!!
Thomas Campbell
Garbage that's why
Logan Barnes
Granbelm is a passion project with literally zero advertising from a relatively young studio. According to interviews they didn't really expect to sell at all and they're pretty pessimistic about the future of 2D mecha, so I'm just glad at least some people are actually buying it.
That seems pretty average nowadays. Doubt we'll get another cour though.
Colton Cruz
So they're okay with the anime not doing well financially? Considering the anime is all there is: no manga, novels or even mobage to shill, and not really much if any merchandise to sell. Did it ever get licensed for streaming? Because if not, I can see them losing money for the anime.
Producer just likes making anime even if it doesn't sell. Pretty neat guy.
Hudson Price
>570 pt Given Hey, at least it's getting a movie.
Nathan Martinez
>Infinite That explains a lot I guess. He probably had the same thoughts about Flip Flappers.
Brayden Price
Considering Eir Aoi was involved in the anime as well as the show's character designer, I actually would have thought there'd be more interest for the series, so to see it do so poorly is strange to see.
Cameron Harris
Holy shit hibiki is too fucking cute
Brayden Rogers
The VAs pretty much got it spot on DESU.
Asher Powell
Vinland Saga has still the Amazon Prime revenue but still I thought it would be more popular. Are there any numbers if it at least boosted the manga?
Ayden Jackson
>>Infinite >That explains a lot I guess. He probably had the same thoughts about Flip Flappers.
Well, at least there's that Shirobako movie coming soon. And if you want to be more cynical, that A3 anime coming this winter could make them lots of money
Michael Perez
>9,293 pt Symphogear
Is there going to be a factor multiplied to that because that's at least half of what S4 did?
David Garcia
>7,100 pt Ensemble Stars Sasuga boy idols
Benjamin Sanchez
>Arifureta selling decently >also I heard topping streaming rankings How?
Angel Mitchell
The power of shilling
Eli Scott
>1,518 pt Okaa-san Online
Is this good? Like "second season worthy" good?
Kayden Evans
>flop >selling decently As expected haremtard Garbage eater
He's probably just bitter that his beloved Flip Flappers flip flopped in Japan, and the fact that a lot of his favorite shows did too. He's partially right in that streaming has become more important in recent years and can save a lot of anime from financial oblivion, but to say that "sales don't matter anymore" is an oversimplification to say the least.
Ideally you'd want an anime to do well in all aspects (streaming, disc sales, music sales, merchandise, events, etc.), and the companies that invest in an anime have their own stakes. So even if an anime does well in certain aspects, if a company's involvement loses money, they still walk away unhappy.
