I dont disagree. I just think its a total shame that the Isekai genre has gotten so bad that something like Shield Hero that merely pretends to deal with serious themes and ideas can be met with critical praise.

They did make a kind've sort've sequel to that with Record Of Grancrest war. Although that was a sequel in name only given all the years that had passed between Lodoss and Grancrest

First of all. Good taste. I fucking love 12 Kingdoms. That said i am not sure i want a sequel in the current context. I´m like 95% sure it would be rushed ruining the pacing and it would probably have tons of cellshaded CGI. As much as i would love to know where the rest of the story goes that´s one fate i don´t wish upon this franchise...
