This post made me wonder, what’s the writing process for mangaka who make semi-episodic romcom series like this? How do they manage to keep coming up with new ideas, even if the general formula is often the same?

It's a combination of having a normal idea (pranks) abnd see how much your cast can stretch it.
Having a character like Fujiwara in the main cast helps a lot because you can have her do whatever and it'll be in character.

Focusing on the emotions of characters would naturally cause a reaction in the readers’ own emotions.
