Is it just me, or has this series gotten a lot funnier the past few chapters? Actual humor and better character development. Can the tournament arc save this series, or has ax-kun already set its sight on the shogi series?
Futari no Taisei
>1750 volume 1
>saiyuki which was also axed sold 2k
Idk man take a guess
Rank and sales are shit. All this series needs is a miracle
I've liked the last few chapters, so I'm hoping it'll avoid the axe. It's definitely been funnier and more entertaining than the beginning chapters were. The addition of the other young shogi players was a good idea.
Problem is basically all the chapters in the first volume weren't good at all. As says, the series got much better once it introduced those rivals in the tournament arc and added comedy to the matches.
Has Jump ever granted a series such a miracle? I'd rather see Tokyo Shinobi Squad and Beast Children leave before this one
I still believe
Spring weapon no1 but it's a gag manga
it''s dead
You thought it was an old man but it was me, Haga!
That caught me so off guard that I was in tears from laughing
World Trigger was so unpopular that its first volume sales didn't rank on Oricon, but it was able to start turning things around at Chapter 11 in order to keep its head afloat. The rest is history.
Based underdog manga
I FUCKING LOVE DOUBLE TAISEI!!!!
I want to comfort Haga.
I find myself looking forward to each chapter every week. Not even AA or Jujutsu makes me feel like that.
I hope shonen god bestows his miracle to this series.
That, the game of life, and the shogi battle against the delinquent were the best parts
I hope volume 2 sells at least decently. Unironically it has become one of my favorite Jump titles. Like rest of anons, I think manga was crap in its first chapters, but it has became godly starting chapter 9-10
>comedy shogi
I'm intrigued now. Didn't really strike me as one when I read the first two chapters.
It did get better, but hnostly, I think it's too late for it to be saved. Still, at least it became an entertaining read.
>MC mindbreaks girl with his sitting king shogi
>she becomes a trap immediately afterwards
Hell Warden Higuma volume 2 sold pretty decently compared to the first volume, but it was still axed before the oricon rankings came out. Maybe WSJ will learn from that and let Taisei go a bit longer to check vol 2 sales?
It debut alongside three other manga, so all it has to do to prolong its lifespan is be better than those.
It's dead as fuck, hopefully with TSS / Yui / Beast Children following along.
I'm really enjoing it but seeing the fate Saiyuki, Higuma and almost every 3-volumes series they made in the last 2 years got, I can't keep my hopes up
Just remember that chart tha user posted last week, out of any year only one or two series are able to survive
