Because sjw hated the fact that it portrayed a women as a lying cunt. Women can do no wrong. Shit was so hated that Crunchyroll didn't even let you pick this as best anime of the season. It wasn't up for voting.

While it was decent overall, I feel like no characters felt real ever. Malty and the King were just insanely evil to MC with no motivation that's ever clearly explained, MC goes from average isekai dude to extreme edgelord in like one episode. Like, the show relishes in punishing those who have wronged MC, but it never really earns it. All the supporting characters are Perfect Waifus. The other Heroes are all stupid and petty to the point that it stretches the show's credibility. The pope is just an old guy that stands in one place with an OP weapon and spews Anime Villain Monologues. I mean, most middling shows are guilty of this same kind of stuff, so it's not like the show is unwatchable, it just has very serious problems, and its most outspoken fans seem to ignore them. There are issues with the show besides "SJW boogeymen" for sure.
