Leon is literally the strongest knight in the country, in vol 5 he travels to another country (according to mob game 2 shit will happen there) and literally destroys the whole country and the Mana tree (which was literally a giant mana generator) when they kidnapped and tried to rape Olivia, he also saved Noel, the shrine maiden of said tree (who could plant another one and will grow in a few hundred years) so Angie decides to engage her to Lion and get a mana tree for their country.
People are afraid of Leon now because of how powerful he is, other countries won't even try to get him mad after what he did in mana tree country. Angie's papa thinks he has leverage on Lion because he's marrying his daughter and wants to use him to take over the Royalty.

Queen Maylene or whaever the name knows this so she preemptly engages Lion to her oldest daughter to make him part of royalty and the next king.

But the daughter turns out to be his niece who is reincarnated and is actually in love with her fiance that became a better person because of her
