Naruto is literally Kishi self insert plus he has the most iconic characteristics and established focus on personal growth in the series. Hell, Sakura has more a impactful personality and iconic marketing gimmicks with her temper and her big for head than Sasuke has with his edgy loner attitude and even tendency to call Naruto dobe or annoying.
