Based

The movie will be about Haruki and Akihiko. Their fans will be happy.

That's unexpected, but I welcome it with full arms. Given was one of my highlights this season.

Boy I will. Hopefully it will have more R15 scenes I'll be dying to watch.

It looks like everyone got a twitter account, even the dog.

>A movie has been announced
That’s cool

BLUE LYNX going all out.

Nice. I didn't know if it was well received in japan but it sure looks like it if they're going to do a movie.

So is the manga over/ending soon? All the main characters got together and have their shit sorted out for the most part, I can't see it going on much longer.

No one knows, really. Maybe there will be an afterword, or it will expand on some other stories, like, for example, Hiiragi's.

I don't believe it will do more than afterwords, though.

I guess you could say the continuation was a given

I don't get it.

Subs are up

Uenoyama is so funny I totally lost it at the beginning, I'll miss him

I can't believe they showed Haruki getting creampied.

They could do stuff with hiiragi/shizumi or maybe best boy ugetsu. Or just more stuff with mafuyu desu. Don't think it'll end anytime soon.

Is the movie likely to cover their whole arc up to the most recent development? Would it all fit? It's not that long iirc.

Based. Did Given save homo anime?

Homo anime was never worth saving, hopefully Given will prove to be the turning point.

They could always go full retard like Doukyuusei

>They could always go full retard like Doukyuusei
Never EVER mention that again, nothing bad happened!

What happened? Never watched Doukyuusei, but people always recommend it

It's kind of amusing how this show about a boy dealing with the trauma of his boyfriend's suicide can get this funny too. I'm happy about it though, as it strikes a nice balance between melancholy and lighthearted moments. This is in my personal top 3 of the season along with Kimetsu no yaiba and Lord el-melloi II case files.

I guess you're not watching Machikado Mazoku. There's some deep and dark lore there, but overall it's still a good cute girls show.

Movie is almost certainly covering the entire akihiko arc. It's like 16 chapters, not that long.

The movie is actually pretty nice, it's just that the author decided to keep the manga going with drama that I feel the characters should already be over with

And the dumbfuck still wants a girlfriend. Whomever that user was last week giving Kaji shit for being bi, fuck you and your boots nigga.

Fuck off, Carlos!

I'm glad I decided to pick this up at the beginning of the season. The PV made me think it was going to have terrible animation and CG like most music-based anime, but I guess they lucked out, since there was only one real performance (which did use CG, but it was brief). And the rest was surprisingly cute and didn't have incredibly stupid writing like most gay anime. The entire cast was also extremely likeable except for that one homewrecker high school girl that told Uenoyama about Mafuyu's dead boyfriend.
Not even gay and I could still enjoy it and find the characters hot, cute, and cool. So, I either have shit taste or the mangaka and anime staff did a pretty good job with this adaption. Definitely looking forward to the movie. I'm hoping it won't go down the "overly stupid writing" route in that after the TV anime did so well.

Man I love this series, I'm gonna miss my Given thursdays. Wish I had the money to buy the Bluray.

I'm glad they animated this part.

Only the 2 idolshit shows and kanata no astra are doing better than it. It definitely deserves to be popular

I love their disgusted expressions at how lovey dovey Mafuyu and Uesama are

I thought that was more of a "they're not going to be able to keep this a secret at all" look. At least from Haruki.

Attached: [HorribleSubs] Given - 11 [720p].mkv-00.15.36.894-#1.png (1280x720, 1.3M)

Its a mix of that and jealousy, I believe. Kind of a "man they sure like to rub their relationship in my face" look while he feels lonely. At least that's for Haruki.

Akihiko surely is more like "sheesh"

Attached: vlcsnap-2019-09-19-19h35m35s595.png (1280x720, 820K)

Yeah, that sounds about right.

Glad she got cucked.

I almost feel bad for her, being stuck in a world where all these hot guys have The Gay, but being a homewrecker prevents me from doing so. I do feel bad for Uenoyama's sister, though, even if she is a little bitchy.
At least this qt somehow found one of the few heterosexual men and has a successful relationship with him.

Attached: [HorribleSubs] Given - 10 [720p].mkv-00.04.25.182-#1.png (1280x720, 944K)

Why would you feel bad for Uenoyama's sister though? She found an amazing guy in the end.

Because I'm a filthy secondary, obviously.

Attached: [HorribleSubs] Given - 11 [720p].mkv-00.08.51.281-#1.png (1280x720, 1.17M)

At least she'll have her 30 cats and 20 anti-patriarchy tweets per day so she can get the bare minimum of attention that she requires to live a long depressing life.

No idea of what you are talking about, but ok.

Attached: vlcsnap-2019-08-08-18h12m33s980.png (865x690, 421K)

You've never seen someone refer to someone that's only watched the anime and hasn't read the manga/LN of an anime adaptation a "secondary"? That's pretty rare. Another common synonym is "animeonly".
Basically, I'm just saying I haven't read the manga, so I didn't know that she found someone else.

>Haruki and Akihiko's melodrama will be better animated and Mafuyu and Uenoyama's

Attached: 125556332.png (600x450, 359K)

Oh, thanks for the explanation. I didn't know of that term.

Well, in the movie she will receive her prize, keep being tuned by then.

Based.

>and
*than. Anyway, I'm happy about it and also glad the anime apparently did well. Hope it also boosts manga sales since that's what matters the most in the end.

The designs and general aesthetic is very unappealing to me which is generally why I don't watch those sorts of shows (besides that I find them boring as sin). Im sure genre fans like yourself love it, its the same show you guys love every season after all, and theres nothing wrong with that.

A movie is a good length for the second half of the series. It's a lot of repetitive emotional turmoil that doesn't actually go anywhere, and the concert it's all building to is so far off in the manga that nothing ever seems urgent or pressing, but the central idea/plot of "relationship drama while preparing for the concert of their lives" can be nicely compressed into 90 minutes.

I hope Akihiko gets cucked by Glasses-kun.

>its the same show you guys love every season
It's a bit different this time. It shares some resemblances with most CGDCT shows, it's based on a 4-koma and has a pace faster than usual, but the interesting part is that it actually has character development, and there's some lore hinted and explained that feels darker than most Kirara shows. I tried to explain a bit what makes this one different, but it might still not be for you. If you want to check out other shows this season that seemed it could be darker but are mostly positive and fun, there's Nakanohito Genome and Kanata no Astra if you did not gave them a try already.

You guys told me Glasses was straight.

He is, but people can wish

Whoever told you that was lying.

Bump.

It really doesn't. Picked this up because unlike all the other gay anime this one doesn't give eye cancer and hey as a bi guy I should watch more homo stuff but in the end it was pretty mediocre and boring, a 5/10 or 6/10 at most. Dokyuusei movie movie is the only homo anime worth watching, most women suck at writing gay stories.

Its still most decent than any BL written by men.

The comedic timing in this show was great, props to the director
And the score was really nice as well
